Shanahan should just give Trey the next two starts only to gain some sort of closure about him. Let Brock rest and you sort of know what you have in Sam Bradford. Let him show us he truly sucks for 3 straight games so we can all move on.

David Lombardi reported today on his YouTube report that cutting Trey Lance would actually be more expensive to the team this year than carrying him. But I agree he will be gone next year unless something changes dramatically, or if someone makes an appealing trade offer this year, which Lombardi though was not realistic.

i understand the cap ramifications of cutting him. it's 99.9% unlikely to happen. it's more about a possible trade scenario.

He must not start Lance!!

the minute Lance starts and FAIL, his confident level goes to NEGATIVE 5 !! and that means IF Purdy struggles as a sub in for Trey, then we have a MARK SANCHEZ all over again ..

if Purdy is healthy, then start him, and let Lance be the 2nd stringer... this way, if Purdy is a joke, then Lance's confidence sky rockets..

His film frankly sucked last week.
He looked like a rookie. He cant see the field. He looks nervous, hesitant and rattled. He is inconsistent with his accuracy. The first red flag and surprising thing for me is his athleticism is underwhelming. He looks robotic when moving. He doesnt look smooth. He isnt fast during games.

Lots of emotion about him. I think people have an idea about what they think he is/what he will be instead of what he actually is/probably will be.
