I don't care about that. His decision making and ball placement was great, despite constant pressure. Very impressed.

His best play may have been a drop. Felt pressure, stepped up in traffic, side stepped and threw a 20 yard dart between the numbers that was dropped.

Holding anyways but overall I was extremely impressed

How about a coach that's actually still alive and coaching so we can track their progress?
168(ish) yards and a TD in the 4th alone. Not to mention a game winning drive. I understand our fan base needs a QB to be punching bag, it's our history, but it's nuts some of you want to give up on the guy after 5 scattered games.

Kudos to Trey man. That was awesome to see him redeem himself after a rough start, especially to lead us to a win.

i was hoping Kyle would go for the TD and let Trey try to punch it in, but it's all good. I think Kyle wanted to give moody some confidence.

hell of a finish for Trey. I've been saying it, he needs to play loose and with "eff it". The plays are there for him, he just needs to stop being hesitant/timid.

Had a nice series but he's still QB3.

There are the kind of posts that should just say "I hate Trey Lance."

What do you want from the kid? To just look like s**t? He played much better today and not just statistically. Yet, we have to read this nonsense.
Fun fact: that was treys first 2 minute drill to win a game in his life. Glad it went great!

Who played as meh a game today as you can.
I think he is more talented than darnold.

Sadly I see the Alex smith comparisons are fairly accurate. Trey was tentative as hell last week and for the first few series this week.

Once he let it rip and just essentially threw the ball blind and trusted his receivers to make plays, you could see the high pick talent.

He could be better than Smith was but it's a little too late and he's too buried down the depth chart. The difference is also Alex looked like Trey on a mediocre team with different offenses every year.

Trey has had nothing but consistency and talent around him and still shows tentativeness and holds the ball way too long.

You see the talent but there's a good chance he never becomes anything. He was already placed in the best position possible and hasn't progressed enough in 3 years to manifest his full potential.

He's just going to have to get time we don't have for him anymore outside of injury (probably two).

It doesn't matter if it's year 3. He has no experience. I don't fault our team for effectively moving on, but it's also their fault we're in this spot from a planning perspective. Trey always needed a lot of runway.

No telling, its Trey's 3 year knowledge of the System vs Sam's experience.

Every week that goes by Sam is going to get more and more acclimated to the system.

I really don't think what happens in the 4th QTR of a football game against dudes who are either not going to be in the NFL a few weeks from now, or seldom make meaningful snaps in the league this year is going to greatly effect that.

Right now, no QB on that roster should know more about the 49ers playbook and what Shanny wants then Trey Lance. That should be a significant advantage.
One guy had 2 1/2 quarters the other had 1 and some change. It's quiet here tonight..............
