Why? Because he had a good couple of series against 3rd and 4th stringers?

Pretty clear you've made up your mind. Imagine if these games were real games

The play right before it was the best throw of his night I think. He hit that in route with precision and the WR had a man draped over him.

"I feel like every time I step on the field I learn so much, get so much better from every rep, whether it's practice, games, whatever."

Trey Lance on having the game slow down for him more compared to last week vs. Raiders. pic.twitter.com/cpCKXCpHAU

That's the thing he needs in his resume, which is playing time. There will be growing pains a long the way, he just needs game experience badly as we know he has the tools. Unfortunately, Purdy happened and he will not get that opportunity here.

The interception wasn't Trey's fault. FYI it was a chip screen and the running back (I think #22) was supposed to chip the left DE/Edge player and then leak out for a screen pass. #22 Didn't chip the edge hence the edge could go up and intercept the screen pass.

I can't believe people really want to watch Sam Darnold play football.

You all were praising Darnold last week for doing the same. Funny how that works. The complete double standards. You guys were angry about Treys sacks but it's completely ok when Darnold gets sacked.

Bro, he's been solid in both of his preseason performances. He's a backup. This is a good thing. Hopefully Trey builds on his strong finish. This is also a good thing.
Root for the front of the jersey.

Reports were Trey clearly looked better than Sam in training camp and practice.
Sam looked better in the first preseason game. I posted before that some coaches put more weight on practice than these preseason games for certain positions.
Trey looked better in the second preseason game.. went on two important drives to end the game. Put up better #s in one Qtr compared to the two of Sams.
Eitherway most of these snaps from both QBs are against backups.
Sam had some snaps against starters at the start of the game. Next week if Kyle get Trey out there, he might also face some starters with some of the starting Oline.
We'll see how next week goes.
But going into camp..
Trey was ahead by default as the #2.
Practiced well enough to hold the #2 spot. (Kyle keeps starting with him regarding rotation of playing time)
And we have these preseason games.
When you put it all together Sam would have to be clearly much better than Trey in practice and preseason. It doesn't seem like that is happening so far.

Trey Lance on if he wanted to go for the TD on game winning drive:

"Not in that situation. I wanted to win the game. Once Ty had that run maybe thought about it a little bit but coming out with the win is the most important thing." pic.twitter.com/W4X6y25HRo
Another clip. Good to an interview where he doesn't seemingly have the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Lol, alright. All he did was take less money than he could have elsewhere and give us solid depth.
