Dallas Cowboys QB Trey Lance Thread

Made the best throws on the Levi's field today.

If he didn't get a rhythm going and kept playing the way he was, then it's starting to look dunzo, not as a qb entirely but as qb2. The Raiders game was a bust, some on the o-line but a bust. Just glad he got out of some funk and was able to dial in:)

Amazing what being able to play in consecutive games can do for reps and rhythm

I see a young ascending player that's improving with every rep. No reason to cut him. This is a long term stock. Purdy is still the starter, but they should keep him

Maybe that's all he needed idk but yeah would be cool to keep the moxie going and start him against the Chargers.

173 yards in one quarter. Only 3 starts in his whole f**king career.

Impatient fools all over the zone the zone and national media coming to sweeping conclusions.

Let him play with the starters next week and see what he does with it. Play Brock for a series and give Lance the rest of the game. No need for Sam Darnold seen enough over 55 regular season starts of suckage.

You would have to be blind or ridiculously bias to not see that Trey could be great. Imagine having a quarterback room where your 2nd/3rd stringer rips off a drive like that under unimaginable pressure to win the game. So happy for him. If he had bombed today his career would have taked a big hit but he stood up and delivered.

hell of a finish for Trey. I've been saying it, he needs to play loose and with "eff it". The plays are there for him, he just needs to stop being hesitant/timid.

Agree. I think so far, based on the games it seems like Sammy D is QB2. The stat line doesn't tell the story of how well he played. Awful penalties and drop tip interceptions ruined chunk plays he should've had. Now to be fair, Trey had a few of his chunk plays called back or dropped too.

Overall though, Sam has more NFL experience and is obviously very talented too. At the end of the day, do you trust Lance who doesn't have much NFL experience, to get critical wins? I don't think I'm there now.

I like Lance but from what I've seen so far, Sam has the edge now.

He already got us a critical win in his one opportunity vs the Texans. A win or be eliminated from playoff contention game.

f**k Sam Darnold's garbage ass w 55 starts of looking like doo doo. Darnold been the weakest qb in camp too being outplayed by Lance and Purdy.

Lance is QB2 to start the season. Give the dude reps and live game time and and you'll see him play like he just did racking up big time yards in short periods. Purdy better win us a f**king Super Bowl since his play last year is going to prevent Lance from getting that live game experience which is the one thing he needs.

Trey did everything he could, the coaches by keeping Darnold in so long told us that he'd overtaken Trey, let's hope it's back towards Trey now. Did everything he could.

It is almost as ridiculous to crown him right now though as it is to write him off, still has loads of work to do to see off Darnold, let alone become useful for us, but it's heading back in the right direction.

Purdy didn't play with starters and he looks miles above both Trey and Darnold. Darnold is still ahead of Trey. Trey was better than last week by a lot. Darnold is still No2. Trey has work to do if he wants to be No2. Lets see what happens next week.

Yeah, it was against 3rd stringers, and 4th stringers...the longer the game went on the less and less you are likely to see those players till next pre-season....

So yeah, grain of salt....

I am of the opinion tho, you can only play the games infront of you.... Trey needed to obliterate the end of the game players, and he and Bell did just that.

We will all get more post game tape then we could want tomorrow, but I think there was a fair amount of single read throws. You go 8 of 10 under those circumstances and it is probably due to ball placement. Everyone should take some encouragement from that.

Darnold played better this week vs the 2nd stringers than Trey did last week. Darnold is better. Trey is a scrub.
