It doesn't devalue anything meaningful. Experience is meaningful to inexperienced players.

The narratives here aren't more important than the field work of players working to make something out possibly-lengthy NFL careers. This is poster's main area of confusion when it comes to this stuff.

That's not a playcalling issue, it's an execution issue. There are literally two guys assigned to block the pass rusher over the left tackle and both blow it. Then there is a RB assigned to plug up any free rushers up the middle and he blows it after the center blew it.

I'm pretty sure Kyles playcall is "two free rushers at QB hahaha"
Perhaps these box scores will move the needle on a trade. I don't think he played well. There was some good. I'll say he was QB3/3 on Sat. The box scores are pretty strong even if the eye test is not.

Agree. He is way too inconsistent. His floor is too low at this point to be QB2.

It's the, "get Brandon Allen more playing time" play.

He was not qb 3 on Saturday. Sure his lows were worse than Sam but his highs were much better. Made plays off script. Threw a dime against tight coverage.

Week 3 should decide it. If Lance continues playing confident like the last two drives he should be qb 2. If he's inconsistent again then it should be Sam.

He had a previous tweet laughing at the play when 9 players stayed in to pass protect.

KS getting creative on that one. A TL preseason special.

Yes, he was definitely QB3 on Sat. and remains QB3 overall. He did look better and more comfortable...I hope he keeps improving but Darnold continues to be clearly QB2 IMO. This team is fortunate to have Darnold as a QB2.

That was a good play designed for TL.

RB's not picking up blocking assignments has been littered all throughout these pre-season tapes. Also the pre-season is exposing just how bad our offensive line roster depth is.

I doubt they get rid of lance this season, and our history would suggest we'll need all three QBs anyway.
