Very fair take. Why Baldy is so good.

Agreed on both points.

Same. I still have no clue what people are so high on Sam for. I get he has more experience and that's Treys main downfall but besides that Sam has had chance after chance and he's still a possible 3rd stringer.

The fact that Lance and Sam are right on par through camp is more of a meh on Sam's part then Lance.

he's got 5 yrs worth of NFL football and a ton of talent, yet here we are still debating who's better?

who knows maybe Sam puts it all together and becomes Steve Young 2.0. I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one though.

I agree 100% with Baldy that we should keep Lance around for as long as we can at the right price.

The old saying rings true here: "It's better to have and not need, than need and not have."

At the end of the day, Brock and Trey are the only QBs under contract for 2024.

I finally got to see the game all the way through. I thought, after some wtf moments to start off that Trey actually looked like he belonged out there. I think he played well. I have to keep reminding myself he was playing against grocery baggers and future physical therapy techs, but he did not look lost out there. Only two panic throws that I noticed. A couple that shoulda been picked if the defense was first string. Good stuff all in all. Maybe the switch has come on for him.

i was saying this the other day. Makes sense. Kyle really sounds like he's making it 2A & 2B. Wonder who will be active on gameday, that'll have a big impact salary wise for darnold if he isn't active

Yup, agreed. I'm happy we got the guys we do right now. We don't have that star QB but they're all capable of winning games.
Did anyone post this?

Well that wasn't very specific, lol. In short, all he said was: "He improved on what he needed to improve on."

He was supposedly bad with the short game and we see clear improvement. His footwork is better, etc. No real length of time gaining experience as of now tho.

He can say it but I mean, we all see it.

I wish he had been more specific. I think we can all tell Trey's throwing machine is 1247472572828x better. His release is awesome now, honestly. So quick. Biggest arm on the team, and his touch has greatly improved. I thought this past game he hit some critical throws under pressure too, although a few bad ones to start out.

Just found the response kind of weird lol. Maybe Kyle is tired of the questions.

If you've noticed, Griese and John Lynch have done the same thing. It's kinda surprised me, I've been waiting for them to say he's running the offense really well, sharp, confident etc but they just keep repeating the same thing "he looks much improved" but what the hell does that mean?

the only qb they've openly praises this off season has been Purdy, I find that interesting. Trey is definitely improved but the team isn't giving anything to which way they're leaning with Trey and darnold. Seems like they've been really careful with that.

No, all three QBs will have to be on the final 53 man roster but only two have to be active on gameday. So one will be one of the inactive, but the inactive one can be designated as the "emergency QB".

So what's the benefit if it's still a 53 man roster? I dun get it
