Dallas Cowboys QB Trey Lance Thread

It's all coming to pass, and most on here said this was unthinkable:

-TL does not have the talent to be a QB1 in this league

-TL will get traded if they get an offer

-TL won't play out his rookie deal

-Sammy and Brandon Allen were signed as a vote of no confidence in TL

Last shoe to drop is when we learn that Shanny was forced to pick TL, but this won't come out for years.
So who takes him?

Patriots? Ravens? Falcons? Commanders? Dolphins maybe?
Damn, and now he isn't practicing. Wonder if he's about to be dealt.

Law of averages says we should have a healthy QB room this year. But I always say that every year.

Why? This is assuming Trey is good. Clearly he's lacking. Why would we "hope" about Purdy and Sam if Trey is a lesser option?

I can see Washington getting him. Bienamy would be awesome for Trey (Mahomes former OC).

Agreed they made the biggest trade in franchise history and royalty f**ked it up. I don't want Kyle fired or anything, but how do they get a pass for this? The process was dog s**t. From moving up and not even knowing who they would take. Passing on one of the highest ranked recruits in college history at QB, to making Lance a scout QB his whole rookie yr (which almost NEVER happens regardless of anything), to giving him 31 snaps last yr and then forcing him to split snaps with a guy that's been a turd in the NFL for half a decade…who so happens to have over 50 starts under his belt (no s**t he looks like he could be a good backup).

They lucked into Brock, who we have no f**king clue what he really is long-term. We're one bad snap away from counting on Sam Darnold to lead SF to the promise land? Lol that's not a SB team imo.

at this point just move him and let him actually have a chance to play football. I hope he balls out and they regret it.

Everyone takes it all so personal.

It's a swing and a miss. It happens, it's a giant miss, but the regime has so many giant hits, that they don't suffer as most franchises would from such a big miss.

I`m not upset about it, I believe we got the real deal and a future franchise QB with Brock. However we got here, doesn't matter anymore, can't go back.

I thought we were basically good with Jimmy but should have drafted a 2nd or 3rd round guy to push em. We went for the fences, came up way short, but hit a bunch of singles and doubles at all our other at bats so we're going to be okay.

Can't can a regime who brought in

Kittle - 5th rd
Warner - 3rd rd
Deebo - 2nd rd
Greenlaw - 5th rd
Hufanga - 5th rd
Purdy - 7th round
ELijah Mitchell - 6th rd
Juauan J - 7thd rd
CMC trade

Trey, our biggest miss, and we're still a title contender.

Meanwhile, in the 1st round:

Solomon Thomas (3rd overall)
Reuben Foster (31st)
Mike McGlinchey (9th)
Nick Bosa (2nd)
Javon Kinlaw (14th)
Brandon Aiyuk (25th)
Trey Lance (3rd overall + 2 other 1st round picks)

My money is Atlanta!!! Commanders already named Howell their starter so I don't think Lance wants to go through that again. Tennessee is also a good one to keep an eye on.

Rams and he turns into a stud.
Trey was the right pick but wrong team. He had to go to a team who's HC knew how to develop QB's. Kyle is clueless in that regard. He only wants a system QB which will be his downfall and will be the reason we never win a SB with him.

Trey probally asked for a trade which I don't blame him for.

Would explain why he is not on the Practice field.

100% what I said he'd do if he wasn't the backup. Who can blame him.
wow

Vikings make sense, Cousins deal is expiring, so he could be in play to start in 2024, if they wanted to go in that direction. Teams without a QB of the future. BP is our QB of the future, and that boxes TL out from play time.

lmao Damn! Cowherd needs to stop letting his daughter around these athletes.

Sadly at this point I fully agree with you. When they drafted Trey I felt it was Kyle checking himself and trying to grow.
