I think it's that and they want backup QBs they can trust out there to run the offense if needed. He looked non functional, in preseason for the most part. In year 3 of 4. I know he had injuries, but he should also have 3 years of mental reps, in addition to a lot of actual reps, gearing up to be QB1 all last offseason for instance.

Allen is not better than Lance dude.

No he's not. He's a PS low end backup. He just cost the team nothing.

And who's fault is that? And if Brock fails I am putting more of the blame on Kyle than Brock because this is the guy Kyle chose.

The fanbase was going ape s**t at the thought of drafting Mac Jones. The backlash was deafening. The ownership saw this and probably told Kyle to reconsider drafting Mac Jones. The Yorks coupled with Peters and others in the front office talked Kyle into being open minded about Trey Lance. Kyle always talks about Trey as a person. He probably really liked his character, which is super important to him. He then conceded to Peters and the rest on his ability as a player.

Fields would have sat on the bench for a year and be forced to play in the pocket. His ridiculous athletic traits would have been ripped away from him because he's not cousins.

I thought we were basically good with Jimmy but should have drafted a 2nd or 3rd round guy to push em. We went for the fences, came up way short, but hit a bunch of singles and doubles at all our other at bats so we're going to be okay.

Sadly at this point I fully agree with you. When they drafted Trey I felt it was Kyle checking himself and trying to grow.

No but atleast he gets to play and be a starter and has a chance at making alot of money when his 2nd contract is signed, No matter how bad the Bears are. Fields would be in Trey's shoes right now if he was here.

well Fields has stayed healthy. If lance wouldn't of got hurt, this probably wouldn't be happening. Everyone is acting like he didn't get a chance, he did, he just got hurt unforunately and the opportunity passed. I feel for him but this writing has been on the wall all off season.
