Now that Brock has been given the reigns with an incredibly small sample size and backed up by the likes of Sam Darnold, I desperately hope Purdy becomes Tom Brady lite and stays healthy or we have zero chance to win a Super Bowl.

yeah, that's my guess. The team asked him to not say anything to the media so they could try and pump his value, claiming they want to keep him so a team has to try and pry him from us.

honestly, they did a piss poor job talking him up this off season, should of been praising him and darnold, making it sound like a crazy competitive fight for the job. That way at least the reports were positive. I'm sure other teams noticed the same thing we did - never said anything except "he has improved and looks good".

They have to have a partner right? It's not just a one sided thing.

That's why you hear positive comments from Kyle in the press. A trade is not guaranteed and the team is in damage control mode with the public.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to blindly trust Kyle like I used qto. Despite every other report and speculation on who he wanted, I always believed him. Getting shaky on that now.

Trade isn't necessarily pending. It's like they say, SF exploring options. I do think this moves fast, no reason to leave TL wondering his status, or fans, or the rest of the team, etc. I don't think we will be wondering what is going on for long.

He's right though. That doesn't mean someone should be fired. But this was a major lesson to be learned.
