Dude is a goner, hope we can somehow get a second atleast but dam what a big miss , but then again this regime sucks at drafting in the first round minus bosa

My two year old daughter could've scouted Nick Bosa and drafted him. Easiest pick of the Century to get right.

Very true lol, this front office should just skip the first round all the time lol

Trey just did. The saying is winning is the best deodorant. We are about to smell like every scent of old spice, known to man.

Lance could improve 100% from where he is now and he still isn't a competent nfl qb.

Its a huge mistake, no doubt.

But who should lose their job? The HC or GM that have otherwise made a stacked roster and do deep in the playoffs every year?

And who replaces them?

what don't you understand about the cap? SF was paying damn near ALL of his cap this yr! That s**t is on the books regardless of whatever you're trying to toss out there. It's doesn't matter how mad you are about his cap hit. It's paid! Done nothing you can do about it.

next yr is next yr…there's a ton of stuff that can happen between now and then. Him being on this roster didn't hurt the cap or who they could or couldn't resign. Especially when you're cool spending $5.5M for a FB. My god dude they're spending MORE money on Dee Freak Ford right now!

Grow up with the you're delusional b******t. We're having a conversation and you take it to that crap because that's all you got for a rebuttal

Why wouldn't you be cool paying Juice 5.5 million. He provides value to the team whereas Trey did not.

Shocking that they gave up so soon on Lance considering his age and overall playing time throughout his young career so far.

I don't think they ever liked Trey. They knew early it was a botched pick.

They tried to think long-term, but this roster is built to win now. Trey looks overwhelmed playing QB because everything is moving too quickly for him. He basically has less career snaps than most senior QB's. We gambled on being able to mold him because he was so raw, and it clearly wasn't working out.

Cut your losses and move on. I don't see how he saves his career any time soon. He's still making mistakes that should be cleaned up already and I don't see how he fixes that by sitting. He plays QB and doesn't get to play QB. Unless Dak and Rush get hurt, I highly doubt he's getting snaps in Dallas. I highly doubt he's getting snaps anywhere.

Lynch and Shanny screwed up, but you can't get A grades everywhere in the draft. Their track record of late round gems makes me give them a pass when they mess up in the first. I'd love if every first was like Bosa, Aiyuk and even McGlinchey, but that's not likely since no one has a perfect draft record. I just wish they didn't take such a big gamble with basically no film to back it up. I supported the move in the end, but from day 1 I didn't want to trade up for ANYONE. We should have just stayed put and grabbed Mac, like Shanny probably wanted to do before they met Trey and fell for him. I was probably one of Jones biggest supporters in his draft thread, but I still didn't think he was worth moving up to #3. Neither was Lance, Wilson or Fields.

Hopefully this is another Foster type draft mistake that they learn from and avoid in the future. I'm damn near hoping we start trading down every chance we get and let our scouts go to work in the later rounds. This is where they really thrive. Give them enough ammo and they'll return way more value than gambling on a player in the first round.
