Same thing a group of you did when Jimmy restructured.

oh I'm shocked you would say this HA. Logical conclusion, yeah according to you and your narrative.

having him cherry pick parts of what I said and leaving everything else out shows his character and yours too for trying to make me out to be something else…just because we don't totally agree on a topic.

my statements were there to be read, you and a couple others try to twist them for whatever reason. It's childish and lame. We're ALL fans of the same team. Going out and saying I want a player to fail or I have some weird underlying thing in my comments is weird.

I wanted Mac,

but hindsight is 20/20

Mac jones is an asshat...i would have been ticked with him on the 49ers, i would much rather have taken the gamble with Trey and failed then to have taken Mac in hindsight.

I wanted Mac but at 12. This trade was flat out stupid lol.

The trade was flat out stupid. I too wanted Mac but like DS said, he is an asshat and I wouldn't have been able to root for him here either.

Mac was flat out excoriated on here, if we had drafted him the level of abuse would have been 10x what trey lance endured

Only 10x? That's conservative.

Trey is no longer here and you guys are still trashing him. Yeah it wasn't personal lol.

I think it's time for everyone on the board to move on.
He should have tried to stay here. Dallas is not going to be any better for him.

Anyway, I hope he gets some opportunities to develop. But he's not a 49er any more, and worse, he's a Cowboy, so RIP.

Wow, part of me thought Dallas might be an option, just never wanted to say it for fear of speaking it to reality. I wish Trey the best, but dammit now I can't truly mean it.

I'm actually bummed it's Dallas cause I do think Trey is a good kid and wanted to root for him. I can't root for Dallas, so therefore I can't root for him.

im shocked the team sent him there cause that really exemplifies how little they think of him, conference rival. Especially when the bills (afc) made a similar offer

Lol, gonna disagree they sent him there because they didn't like him, dude. Lot goes on behind the scenes and I believe Lynch when he said he wanted to do what's best for Trey. All of his faults aside, Jerry treats his players as well as any owner in the league, if not better. I'm trying to decide if this is a move to get intel on us or if it's saying the writing is on the wall for Dak.

Plus sending him to Buffalo behind Allen would be a career death sentence. No way he's ever be the starter there.

Injury would be the only way, but still wouldn't be any chance of taking Allen's job. I still think Denver woulda been best.

How's NY85 doing? I'm thinking about him. Good dude. No one deserved this

He's buying a Dallas jersey for Lance right now

Probably.

You guys are being so dumb. All NY wanted was for Lance to have a chance. He isnt a Lance super stan like you guys are trying to make him out to be.

Oh I was being genuine. I often side with him

i dont like him now that he's a cowboy

I am not sure how he gets a chance in Dallas either

My 'narrative' was dead on… because it wasn't a narrative.

It was evidenced based predicting of moves the team was making and motivations for them. No emotion. No player loyalty. Just correctly reading all the signs in front of our faces. It wasn't hard… but it was fun to argue with you guys knowing it was coming to head, lol.

Glad we can get on to the business of actual football.

that looks so weird omg
I forgot the bright side besides camp room: if in the event Brock and Sam go down for extended time, maybe we'll lose enough to get Drake Maye or Caleb Williams?

Shocking that they gave up so soon on Lance considering his age and overall playing time throughout his young career so far.

I don't think they ever liked Trey. They knew early it was a botched pick.

They tried to think long-term, but this roster is built to win now. Trey looks overwhelmed playing QB because everything is moving too quickly for him. He basically has less career snaps than most senior QB's. We gambled on being able to mold him because he was so raw, and it clearly wasn't working out.

Cut your losses and move on. I don't see how he saves his career any time soon. He's still making mistakes that should be cleaned up already and I don't see how he fixes that by sitting. He plays QB and doesn't get to play QB. Unless Dak and Rush get hurt, I highly doubt he's getting snaps in Dallas. I highly doubt he's getting snaps anywhere.

Lynch and Shanny screwed up, but you can't get A grades everywhere in the draft. Their track record of late round gems makes me give them a pass when they mess up in the first. I'd love if every first was like Bosa, Aiyuk and even McGlinchey, but that's not likely since no one has a perfect draft record. I just wish they didn't take such a big gamble with basically no film to back it up. I supported the move in the end, but from day 1 I didn't want to trade up for ANYONE. We should have just stayed put and grabbed Mac, like Shanny probably wanted to do before they met Trey and fell for him. I was probably one of Jones biggest supporters in his draft thread, but I still didn't think he was worth moving up to #3. Neither was Lance, Wilson or Fields.

Hopefully this is another Foster type draft mistake that they learn from and avoid in the future. I'm damn near hoping we start trading down every chance we get and let our scouts go to work in the later rounds. This is where they really thrive. Give them enough ammo and they'll return way more value than gambling on a player in the first round.

Great post.
any new Dallas fans interested in a Lance jersey
I'll even throw in a pack of blue dyem

He dreams of killing 9ers in NFC championship.

No he wasn't. People just didn't want him because he had a mediocre skill set that no one felt merited a top 3 pick. Being that he went 15th that was completely accurate.
