Very true.
But if Trey gets more reps then who knows.
Trey will be third string, he most likely wont get any more reps than he would of this year.

I don't disagree. I would just state it another way:
Kyle realized that unless Lance got a lot of reps, he was never going to be the player he needed to be to benefit this team. The upshot of all that is that Kyle was not worried about him becoming a very good player because there would be very little chance in Dallas to be more than a backup to Dak with few reps there.
Possibly, but Dallas have never been sold on Dak and there's a lot of questions on why he's getting >$40m a year.
Trey has a chance to be a starter there in time, and he'll get more reps as the backup than he was going to get here.

What happened to the "last year we needed 4 QBs so this year we need 4" line from Shanahan? By trading Lance for a 4th rd pick it seems that wasn't really true.

Please do not let this come back on us. Meanwhile, happy trails, Trey.

I have always liked Trey the person.
I never liked the pick, especially the capital given up to it.
What's done is done and we all need to move forward especially on things that we have no control over.
I'm happy for Trey Lance. At least he'll get the reps he needs.

How many new Cowboys fans do we have on this thread this evening?
This wraps it up....at least according to the guys who are evaluating him and coaching him every day, Trey sucks and is a bust. They have no concern about him becoming an elite QB and realizing his "high ceiling", as they just traded him to our biggest rival franchise.
It will be hilarious to read the spin in here from all the experts though.

No spin. Trey Lance's story hasnt been written yet. Trey Lance's 49ers story has, and it was a colossal failure.

I just learned that Trey requested a trade after losing the backup competition. I now don't feel bad for him at all, total b***h move imo. How is he better off as the #3 in Dallas than being the #3 in SF? "I lost and instead of getting better, I'll quit."

Man I just heard the news.
Remember what I posted yesterday.
I hope this kid doesn't end up with a rival like Seattle, LA, Dallas and torment us for 10+ years....... most likely not, but damn.

I currently live in Dallas, they all think they just traded for the truth.
