So is Trey playing tomorrow against the Raiders for the Cowgirls?

Can't see the Cowboys doing that to him. That would be tough for even a seasoned vet QB.

Baker Mayfield pulled off a W in a regular season game.

And it was remarkable. Mayfield had far more experience than Trey.

I mean, sure, I guess they can put him in. If they do I hope it goes well for him. Seems a tad forced if they do, IMO.
on Trey not playing tomorrow...

Dallas not giving Trey any chances, terrible mismanagement ! - NY85
So Lance goes from 3rd string to 3rd string.

hearing Kyle.. Lance leaked all the info.. Lance acted like a B

Eh. No reason to be hard on the kid. He was obviously emotional about the decision and probably talked to family/friends who then talked to others. With modern social media things like that move fast.
still snitched.. he could have man'd up and earn/work his way back up

Yeah, I think his agent leaked the info and it screwed the 49ers. They weren't going to announce qb2 or 3, play him tonight and then try to maximize his value. That got screwed up when he leaked that he was going to be QB3.

It is hard to think they would invest so much camp time in him if the goal was to always trade Trey. It is also the wrong time of year to do it. He would likely be worth more at the trade deadline for a team that is thin at QB. Or at the draft to move up the board or to move down the board and collect more picks.

Sam needed as many TC snaps as possible coming into a new system, you can say the same thing about Allen. They ended up wasting those snaps on Trey if the plan was to trade him at cutdown.

Given that what was communicated was 2a and 2b depending on the match up...This has to be about Bosa money, or Trey is not the stable team first guy we thought he was.

It is kinda crazy to me that Trey leaked internal information, and demanded a trade based on what the backup status was for that week.

I just can't wrap my head around it... Team spent a fortune to draft you, changed the game plan year 1 to get you snaps, you know you are hurt and can't throw the ball well the rest of the year...the team suspends QB competition for you year two to designate you the undisputed starter, you get hurt again...and can't finish the season. Year three you have a so/so camp with 5 or 6 potential intercepts in preseason and can't deal with a 2a or 2b backup position.

We were sold this narrative of the happy QB room, with this team first attitude from the QB room and it appears that might not have actually been the case.

Hell the more I think about this the less bummed I am Trey is gone...

Damn, Kyle is implying Trey was the leaker...🐀

He also confirmed Trey asked to be traded, and they gave him permission to look for a new opportunity.

Kyle being very transparent. That was an interesting presser for a preaseason postgame. I suggest all 49er fans listen to it. It touched on many topics surrounding Trey.

He gave the impression at the end that he felt they had to move on and took money into consideration (7mil over two years)...

So he makes it seem like it's Trey's idea to want to be traded, but also that Kyle wanted to move on himself.

Reminds me of previous relationships I've been in where I would make the breakup seem like the other girl's idea.

Imo... we should've still saw what Brock looked like this season before moving on from our investment/potential and that rookie contract. That's worth 7mill imo.

He's not going to lie about that. Trey would call him out. Can't lie about that in front of the media.

Not saying he lied about that. More so pushed Trey to want to leave. Make it seem like is his own decision Imo.

I honestly do believe if Trey and Sam were able to play this last preseason game, and Kyle made the decision next week.. Trey wouldn't have requested a trade like that.

But with Kyle making the decision before that game.. making it obvious to Trey he really couldn't win the backup role back during the season through practice (like Kyle just said to the media)...it was basically going to be #3 the whole season. Imo Kyle forced the issue on purpose.

If he cared about giving us the best chance at winning a Super Bowl this season, he could have handled this in a better way to stay on Trey's good side... again I'm coming from the perspective if Trey had to come in this season.. he would still help us get wins.

But imo he just wanted Trey off this team and let everyone know Brock is the guy no matter what. We've seen that before in this league. I don't always agree with that approach, but it is what it is.

I doubt Trey "leaked" the info. First thing he needed to do was call his agent. That's where the leak would have happened, not necessarily to be spiteful, but to get the word out to the other 31 teams asap.

Or do people seriously think the first thing Trey did was call the media to cry about it? Come on.

I hate that he went to Dallas, and it's a weird fit from QB3 to QB3, but he needed to go for him and us.

It's an unfortunate situation. He got done by a lot of uncontrollables, but we need to win now. No room for pity.

nobody knows anything if Lance didn't leak anything
John Lynch might have slipped up there...

To one of the worse people to slip up to.. Grant lol.

Admitted/agreed with Grant that he felt Trey and Sam was a tight race, and not a separation like Kyle alludes to... but that coaches have their jobs and made their decisions.

i dont think anyone thinks Lance was in the bathroom DMing Tom Pelissero. it's obvious it would be from his agent.

Tough to root for him playing for the Cowboys but I am going to. He deserves all the success in the world after the way he has been treated ever since he was drafted. And handled it with complete class. I never understood the hatred people had for him. It came off as personal and he did nothing to warrant it.

Can you elaborate exactly how the team didn't treat Trey well?

I believe you are completely wrong on this.
So in week 5, will Lance be the cowboys starter and play us?!

Unless Dak and Cooper Rush get hurt, no.

Well they could have two different opinions. Kyle could think it wasn't as close towards the end and Lynch thjnk it is.

it really sounded like Kyle wanted to keep Lance but Lance wanted out and a chance go be a backup, even though he won't be that in Dallas. Just Strange. I didn't want Lance playing but I wouldn't of mind if he stayed. Seemed kinda foolish to want to leave with our injury history.

does Trey even make the 53? Could be just trade and dump

LOL why would the Cowboys give up a 4th RD pick to just cut him a few days later?

What the Cowboys plan on doing is what the Niners should have done and that is develop him for the future. They will probally restructure his contract next year to make it more affordable. People forget he is only 23. There is no rush.
