Some duds? Lol they've hit on 2 of the first rounders and Bosa was an easy gimme pick. They've gotten LUCKY with the late round gems thanks to scouting team. Other than that, they have yet to win and the clock is ticking before big changes are needed. You don't just waste 3 picks on a dude and then trade the dude for nothing. Lol what a total waste of 3 years.

Give no credit for building a SB caliber roster while hating on them for their misses in the draft. Such a bs take. Its fine to criticize when its warranted but give credit where credit is due ffs.

Trading him to Dallas, what a weird choice seriously.
They couldn't trade him to an AFC team or a NFC team less "linked" with the Niners?
Might as well keep him.
I hate this so much.

I will say I thought given how we've screwed his trade value I was surprised to see a 4th rounder(but it will be closer to a 5th rounder unfortunately)

But I don't think this helps Trey play any time sooner than he would here, sends him to a hated team where I can't really root for the guy to be successful and we have a poor track record of trading guys to Dallas.

One thing is clear the team is FULLY behind Brock and they better hope the only time he's on the bench is when the defense or special teams are on the field or he's just hanging back healthy and smiling as we're blowing out the other team.

Darnold and Allen better never play real football for us or we're in trouble.

Initially I thought it wasn't an ideal situation for Trey and it probably still isn't considering Dak is their guy but maybe they do wanna move off him at some point due to his injuries and contract and give Trey the opportunity. I just think Trey doesn't need to ride the bench anymore he needs to get on the field. I'm surprised they got a 4th rounder for him tbh. Really hope Brock is indeed the real deal and doesn't miss a ton of games cause it's gonna look ugly if those other two guys come in and play.

Yeah I would of only did that for a really high draft pick, but not what will be a really low 4th.

I heard the Bills were interested, and I would of taken their offer even if it was a 5th.

Why?
Trey is going to be the 3rd string guy in Dallas. At least for this season. It is a lateral move for him but of course it gives him a fresh start. IMO Lynch and Shanahan have come to the conclusion that regardless of Purdy's emergence, Trey was never going to be the franchise guy here and they probably don't believe he can become that for Dallas either. For what it's worth, I always thought his ceiling was Dak light. Not great IMO. Of course that could be wrong and Trey could shine in Dallas. Time will tell.

Why?

Because Trading with Dallas never ended up being good with the 49ers..

Because these guys who keep saying he needs reps that he won't be getting are afraid of him in the playoffs apparently.

Youd take less value? Interesting.

With that said, I don't see how this helps Trey but there is somewhat of a possibility he could be in competition with Dak if Dak doesn't perform this year. But I doubt Trey could win it. He needed to go to Washington or some place he can start and play with regularity.

We need both in here. 1 only talking about the epic fails after 7 years and 1 only talking about the competive roster still in place.

To be fair our hit rate in the 5th round is pretty damn good with this front office. 4th rounders at hit or miss

Yup, 5th - UDFA's has to be the best ROI over 7 years compared to every other team. Rounds 1-4? Gotta be one of the very worst.

Bills almost got the Lance trade but Dallas offered more.
