Look I want Lance to succeed, hope he somehow does. And there are a ton of fans out there rooting for him, wanting him to do well, and everyone agrees he needs more reps. I'm sure Lance thought this too. But then why did Lance leave school? Why play one season, then sit out another season, and want to go to the NFL despite not having the reps? So many statistics and evidence that shows the need to have a certain amount of college snaps to be successful in the league. He should have transferred to another school to get those reps. But he didn't, his family friends, agent, told him he would possibly would be a top 10 pick and instead he went to the draft to get paid. Don't get me wrong I'm furious about the trade up, but everyone is holding the Niners accountable for Treys growth. But it's on Trey for deciding against the odds and stats to go to the draft. That's on him.
In terms of the leaving school, he had $34m reasons why, I would guess his team told him he's locked in as an early round NFL prospect, and to declare. Hey, if I had $34m I probably would want to get it too, rather than put it at risk, now why was he evaluated that highly? great question, but the draft does this, we saw it with Wilson also, very overhyped
Agree 💯%, and Trey, as much as the national media has raked him over the hot coals, he's going to be paid 34 million by the end of his rookie contract. I think anyone would take 34 million, be lambasted by the national media, and just coast after a year of that, for the rest of his life. He's a millionaire now. His life is going to be good - pretty much no matter what now.
