What an absolute embarrassment of an organization we are. Fire Lynch and promote Peters. This is way worse than blown picks like Pettis, Thomas, Sermon and many others. Replacing Buck with Kinlaw has backfired too. I can't support this idiot anymore.
Must be allergic to winning, because that's what this team has done 3 of the last 4 years. And if you want to pull the no Super Bowl card, well that goes for 31 of 32 teams every year. Maybe you prefer the Cleveland Browns approach, constant firings.

No one cares because the team has a great FQB and a top 3 offense and the best defense in the NFL.
Results matter.

We are literally one spot (QB) away from being arguably the best team in the league and they want to fire the guys who made the team because they took a big swing for a QB and missed. Lmao it's a joke. They still might of actually found that guy along the way too. How about we let this season play out before we start talking about reprimanding people.

When this whole thing started, going into the 2021 draft, I wanted us to just load up at other positions and ride with Jimmy. Then the trade happened and the possibilities of what this offense could be was truly appealing. I was convinced our guy was Justin Fields. He had played big in big games, tons of experience, had been 1a or 1b for years with Trevor Lawrence, and he his picture was literally on that QB Collective website. It seemed like a no brainer. And we went with Trey Lance, who I knew very little about.
I listened to the press conference and was on board because he was a 49er. I figured he would have to be protected in 2022, but by 2024, we would see consistently top level play. That's a long time to wait, but our team was so talented, I felt we could get away with that gamble, as did the front office and coaching staff. In all honesty, the bet thing for Trey would've been to play him immediately in 2021, and perhaps he would be that guy by 2023. There's also the chance that Lynch and Shanahan aren't even here if they take that approach because there's no way we have the run in 2021 and possibly 2022 if Trey starts. So while sticking with Jimmy was not the best for Trey, it was truly indeed best for the team as we know for sure, this is a Super Bowl caliber roster that was only missing a quarterback. The success of the last four years, constantly bringing in talent, and developing players as well as coaches has given this regime a very long leash and the ability to afford a blunder that get 99% of general managers and coaching staff's fired. I don't people really process how well built this team is.
The roster has been constructed so well they can afford monumental f ups in the first round, three out of the five years they've actually had first round picks.
More on Trey's 2022. I thought it was silly to critique him the way some did on that monsoon game. And the fact is, the offense was moving for the 0.25 quarters he played against Seattle. I think if Trey could've gotten that year under his belt, he'd be fine by now. Not great, but good enough to lead. Unfortunately he got hurt, as did Jimmy, and we struck gold with Brock.
So we go into 2023 and Brock isn't available for a bit. Based on what Brock did in 2022, there's no way you can just hand the job back to Trey and based on what's unfolded, a competition would've been meaningless if Brock were healthy. There's no way Trey would've beaten him out. But not beating out Darnold? Wow. i'm sure he's going to look like a different QB here, but all I can think is damn. Just damn. And as bad as this is, we're coming out of this losing time and draft picks, but are still a top team in the NFL with potentially a franchise QB- which is what we wanted all along. We wanted a guy that could put the team on his back and/or give us what Jimmy couldn't. It's a strange path to get to this point, but we are here.
In the NFL, fi you don't have a quarterback, you've got nothing. We have a number 1. Our number 2, should look A LOT better throwing to Kittle, CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Juice as well as handing the ball off the CMC, Mitchell, and TDP. I hope Sam gets better and we can extend him to a team friendly 2 year deal. And then there's Brandon Allen. We'll see how that transpires. For all the craziness and wasted resources, it's gotta be pretty good to be a 49er fan right now, and short of Kansas City and maybe the Eagles, whose got it better than us?

This. I can't wait to see Brock dropping 35 ppg or more. Another year in this system, unquestioned starter, number 1 reps, CMC fully immersed in this offense, Deebo on a mission, and Aiyuk looking to continue his ascent? Sign me up.

Exactly, results matter.
When did the qualifying metric for a GM get so off base that it's measured by first round success rate.
It should be centered around football results with focus on talent, chemistry, coaching staff acumen, and wins.
So based on all that… I think we are doing just fine. What a ridiculous qualifying factor. Nobody cares how you get your players they only care whether you have them.

For the first time, I think our offense outshines our defense. Although, I think both will be good, i don't think we will have to rely so much on our defense this year. I think we will be one of those teams that are awesome on both sides.
Brock, Aiyuk, CMC, Kittle, Deebo, Juwuan!
Warner, Huff, Gravedigger, Amrstead, Bosa, Greenlaw, Ward, Drake, Gipson/Brown!
we are stacked, just need to execute, stay healthy, and be disciplined.
i can see a 13-15 win season this year. Going 15-2 at best. If we stay healthy & disciplined, it's going to be extremely hard to beat us and I love how serious Brock takes everything, so I'm not worried about our offense having "trap" games. Just need to not make mistakes like turning over the ball.

Inside sources are telling Lance had the biggest penis and made the other QBs and Shanny feel some sort of way .

Funny how Jimmy Gs thread got moved while he was still on the roster last year. Yet the guy who did squat for the organization is still here
