I just really don't think they are that good. I don't think they can make it through the NFC.

Haven't even been to a Conference championship game in nearly 30 years. As long as McCarthy and Dak are at the helm with Jerry Jones micromanaging his team, I can sleep at night knowing that isn't going to change

Question, does he get a ring if SF wins it all

They're in really bad shape at linebacker.

Yeah at least we have some company with the Super Bowl drought. 29 years for us. 28 years for them. Holy s**t, the Lions are the only team to never have made it to the Super Bowl! Maybe in a few years, you little pussies, but not this year!

Lions, Browns, Jaguars, Texans have never been to the Super Bowl. Texans are the only team to not make it to a Conference championship game.

Lions and Browns each have 4 NFL championships from the pre-Super Bowl era.

Oh damn.....

Yes, I think he would, even though we are talking preseason rosters...

I really really want the Niners to get over the hump this year and start spreading the love around the league more.

The empath in me wants to see those teams listed above get their SB win sometime soon, and definitely before other teams get their 2/3/4/5th/etc.

But the Niners just NEED TO GET IT DONE soon........and then at least one more this decade with Brock, 2 more would be amazing.

I would get annoyed slightly that these generational Niner teams under Harbaugh/Shanahan haven't gotten anything, while a Stefanski led Browns or Campbell led Lions beat us to it???

LOL.

LOL.

Every year I root for teams in the following manner.

1. Niners, unless they are eliminated
2. Team with the longest championship drought, unless they are a rival
3. If only rivals are left, then I pull for the one that least offends me.

For example, if Niners were eliminated and it was Cowboys vs. Texans in the Super Bowl I would pull for the Texans even though they have a shorter drought than the Cowboys.

Rivals I will not root for, in order of most disliked to least: Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams, Chiefs, Ravens, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals. Even though the Cardinals are in our division I would pull for them over the Giants or Eagles due to the 2011 and 2022 49er playoff losses to those teams. If we were to beat the Chiefs or Ravens in the SB that would end the "rivalry" status, IMO, and return them to the general field. They've both won the SB recently enough for this to not come up much anymore anyway. (Same with Rams and Seahawks). Packers used to be on this list, but we've spanked them in the playoffs so much recently that they don't concern me anymore. I'd easily pull for them over the other NFC teams listed. A Cowboys-Seahawks NFC CG would be the worst case scenario right now.
I like your "ending rivalry" status....hahahaha.

I think I could agree with that logic, although they'll still be knocked down a lot of pegs. Chiefs with Mahomes and Ravens with Lamar will keep that status up a bit until they're gone.

That's a good question. My thought is, yeah he probably does. He was with the 49ers until he was traded in the preseason. He played in two of the preseason games.

I think the moment that Dallas is forced to play a road game spells DOOM for them in the playoffs. They are not the same team outside of Jerry's World.

This is true, but the Lions already showed last week that they could be beat at home as well.

True. The Eaglets pushed them too. But Dallas just plays better football at home. They don't play that same kind of game on the road. Dak turns into Dink and it all falls apart.
