The Trey Lance trade finally bit us in the ass this season

It will probably take us at least three more seasons to recover from the worst draft trade in NFL history.
It sure hurt us by making it to 3 CGs and a SB

Where's the trophy?
at 49ers HQ

Which one the "Best offensive mind" or the "Best roster in football" trophy?
there are 5 of those

not yet.. but most teams don't have s**t..

the 49ers are one of the most iconic teams in sports, we should be held to a higher standard than "most team"

btw speaking of "most teams", here's a stat. Every team that has appeared in a Super Bowl since 2004 eventually went on to win at least 1. The only exceptions? The Bears, Falcons,Cardinals, Bengals, & 49ers. Not exactly teams you want to be associated with.

so it's easy to win one now.. even though it's only been like two teams winning (Chiefs/Pats/Brady) ?

it took some fluke s**t for us to lose twice, but to be acting like anyone can win one is just not thinking straight.

not an excuse

Not an excuse for what? The post I replied to said that we targeted the wrong QB. There wasnt a QB in that draft worth a damn.

**EDIT** Oh it was YOUR post LOL. No one is claiming it wasnt a terrible move in hindsight.

Lmao the 49ers have been one of the most talented teams in the nfl from 2011-2013 and then 2019,2021-2023. Teams with comparable runs went on to win at least 1. The 49ers have nobody to blame but themselves for why they haven't won 1, and it's embarrassing.

Here's a reason. The Chiefs with Andy Reid and Mahomes. They've been in 4 of the last 5 SBs and won 3 of them. That's the best reason I can think of. Talent doesn't always win in playoffs. Ask the Dodgers and Yankees who have had the best talent for several years and have one championship beteween them over the last 20 seasons. The Billls and Bengals have had talent. No SBs.

the question, is do you really think it's easy to win one?

Off recent memory alone… Seahawks LOB, Peyton Manning Broncos, Ray Lewis/Ed Reed Ravens, all deep teams similar to the Harbaugh/Shanahan 49ers, only difference is they managed to win 1 while the 49ers find spectacular ways to fall short every opportunity handed to them. 49ers could've easily beaten KC in those super bowls, had them dead to rights, especially in SB LIV. but in the words of Travis Kelce "they aren't built to be champions"

Definitely the worst trade in 49ers' history. I can't reconcile making that trade just to draft a complete unknown. That's a stupidity level that defies belief.

To me the worst part was making the trade without even knowing what they wanted. They traded just to trade.

and on top of that, that's including beloved Adam Peters too in that decision.
My take is he has talent. He has work ethic, but is incredibly raw. I'm not even trying to insult him when I suggest he is the perfect prospect to be playing in the UFL. He needs experience, but the way the NFL is today, it's not structured to develop a guy like him.

Never be more than a back up. Ceiling is Brissett.
Anyone watch Landman? Actually pretty decent show about the business with BillyBob, Hamm

They open the speech in the hospital and you just hear the voice and I'm what they got Jerrah on the show? Anyway the story about him drilling wells north of SF in Brentwood to be near his daughter going to college at Stanford, then him making enough money on those wells to buy the Cowboys, is that true? I haven't verified that story.
I think he may be a better actor than GM
