Trey gets owned by 3rd stringers in the preseason, him not being in the league next year isn't completely out of the question

Trey needed a developmental league. Unfortunetely the NFL has no minor league system. You either play or you sit. And Trey needed to play and he needed to play alot.

Seems kinda obvious now that they actually wanted Mac Jones over Trey Lance in the draft or at least Shanahan did. Both were available in free agency, just saying.

Disagree. Strongly. Trey Lance had two years to develop under Shanahan. He flopped. It happens. He was never going to develop. Another example? Steve DeBerg. Despite two years under the greatest mind in all of the NFL, Bill Walsh, DeBerg could not overcome this annoying habit of throwing to the guy in the wrong colored jersey. In the final words of Walsh: He was just good enough to get you beat. Some guys just don't develop, despite getting handed the brass ring.

some guys go to texas tech and you throw 60 times a game. this dude got no offers. think about that, the golden gophers didn't want lance at quarterback. they wanted him at safety. so he goes to ND State and he throws 10 times a game, for a few months (one year starter). guy DNP'd his year prior to the draft (covid). we were in a win now SB window. it's quite possibly the worst nfl pick in history. the case can be made.

CFL would be a good choice for Lance. He needs to play if he's ever going to improve enough to attract the NFL again.

I disagree. I think he loves the game and the team that added him is where his dad used to play. I could easily him being the type of dude who wants to follow in his dad's footsteps. Let us all not forget he's YOUNGER than Brock Purdy. He could easily go there for a couple of years and develop and come back and look like a new QB. We'll see what happens, but I'm rooting for the kid.
