Nick Mullens with X1000 talent.

isnt this a great day where all the so called "insiders" were all proven wrong. This proves that they don't know s**t and should never be trusted especially that pothead michael silver and his boyfriend kawakami. maiocco can kick rocks as well. all of them got exposed big time

Maiocco nailed the Lance at 3 the day we made the trade.

This is what I thought as well.

I could call that from the cheering in the room right before the pick.

Well, he kinda does have a combo look to him of Mully and Mahomes... I'm guessing when he makes a mistake, you'll be pissed and have flashbacks of Mully. But when he lights up the other team, you'll be thinking Mahomey (especially when we get to a SB with him)
I'm damn happy to watch this kid be developed by Kyle and co. I was a big Mac fan, but I said from day 1 this type of trade was done to shoot for the stars, and there is no higher ceiling player in the ENTIRE draft imo. If Shanny and Lynch are willing to accept the risk that comes with grooming such an inexperienced QB, then I'm onboard too and will enjoy the ride.
One of my favorite plays from evaluating Trey during the last few months. #BeastMode

Just have a set package for him during each game so he learns the system and gets NFL reps and by next year he will be ready to take over. The only thing is, is that he might ball out and be so good that fans clamor for Shanahan to make the change to Lance by week 8 this season.

I remember this story. It happened in 2011. It ended badly.

Hoping for a different ending this time.
Pick 3, San Francisco 49ers: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State He's legitimately one of the most difficult quarterback evaluations of all-time. Lance (6-foot-4, 224) has the size and athleticism teams covet. During his one full season as a starter, he threw 28 touchdowns and no interceptions while also rushing for 1,100 yards and 14 scores as a 19-year-old. But level of competition was obviously a factor, and Lance played just one game last year.

If you're a 49ers fan, you have to be excited about this pick after weeks of Mac Jones rumors. There are no guarantees. Only 42 percent of first-round quarterbacks over the past 10 years have made it to a second contract with the team that picked them. But Lance has smarts and athleticism and offers a huge upside. The 49ers' goal now immediately becomes to maximize their chances of competing for a Super Bowl while Lance is on a rookie contract.

Grade: B+

Number 5 . Pinion(now with bucs) had it 2 years ago.. dont think no 1 on the active roster wore it last year.

p.s. pinon got a ring last year wtf

That Donovan Mcnabb number
absolutely f**king ecstatic with this pick!!! #TreytotheBay

I have been saying it from the beginning the pick was between Fields/Lance (based on Kyle's honest post-pick presser he said it was two guys they liked on film with Lance being the clear fav, pretty sure Fields was the other given the 2nd pro day already arranged and Kyle already knowing Justin's agent, Mac was a distant 3-didn't talk to Saban, one generic pro day, not working with John Beck, DUI, very limited upside).

Btw Kyle deserves an oscar for his performance in the press conference on Monday...so many of you ppl were fooled hard it was Big Mac. It was never him due to the DUI. Lynch/Shanahan made a huge point saying that character matters a lot and even met with Lance's parents to see where he was from (didn't hear them mention anything about meeting Daddy and Mommy McCorkle). Zero chance you take DUI kid over someone like that unless dude has unreal potential (basically opposite of Big Mac)

Media was god awful with 90% of so called experts mocking Big Mac to us. Looks like his boy Chris Simms ran a great smokescreen for him and media just ran with it like clueless morons. I will point out that Rich Eisen had 3 different sources tell him things and the third source was pretty Pro-Lance. He was also spot on later (I'm guessing from the source) when he stated it's Trey Lance and it has always been Trey Lance.

Middlekauf and Haberstrom were spot on their analysis and they admitted they had no sources. They just reasoned through the thinking of Shanahan and both came to the same conclusion that pick was going to be Trey Lance a couple weeks ago.

Will pay more attention to these guys compared to no-nothings like Orlovosky, Schefty, Rappaport, and Kiper (God awful mock draft again...dude seriously needs to just be fired at this point).
