"On film, you don't realize how big he is because he is so athletic," a coach told The Athletic's Bruce Feldman. "He was much bigger than we thought he was. That size, athleticism and arm are so rare at this level.

Once Lance is ready to take over the offense, the 49ers will feature the most unstoppable unit.

competing theory: He never really wanted Mac, which is why he sold his soul to move up to 3.

I don't think Roman was the issue, even if his scheme has some limitations.

You could switch Fields in for Wilson and make an argument. But clearly, Kyle was "good" with all 3 of these guys, hence, the move up to #3. With all the crap people listened to for a month, the simplest stuff I guess became complicated to many.

Kyle Shanahan values pocket presence, anticipation, decision-making and accuracy. Running ability is great, but not if there's any trade-off with those traditional QB skills. That's why I'm leaning Mac Jones at No. 3. If you want someone at that spot, you can't take any chances.

exactly! Worked well for Lamar Jackson for a year but teams are beginning to figure them out now. Lamar's 2nd year much worse than this first. By the way, its much easier to run now with QB sliding protection rules. We finally have a QB to exploit this with a genius play-caller (someone no one would call Greg Roman)

As it relates to Lance, I'm with him 100% and excited to see the full offense. Not interested in any many run packages. If he plays any in 2021, let it be the offense.
