I dont know how anyone can definitively say this. There have been 14 quarterbacks taken in the top 5 in the last decade, and not a single one of them sat the entire season.

In fact, nine of them started week one and only one of them started later than halfway through the season.

I agree this is uncharted territory, but if Lance is just better, and reports keep coming back day-after-day, at some point it's not even a decision.
