Dallas Cowboys QB Trey Lance Thread

Posted this a few days ago in draft rom thread -

Kyle can run this play with Lance. Fake to Deebo and Lance does what Lance does. No one is stopping this.

Kyle and Lance will wreck defenses with this play.

Another play - Again - defenses won't be able to stop this.

Yeah it's literally stupid AF, it's a dumbass comparison Kaepernick had absolutely no short area quickness and no feel for moving around in the pocket. Plus he never developed different kinds of throws the way a baseball pitcher has different "stuff" which he was in high school ironically so that's a damn oxymoron.

Well we ain't got Greg Roman calling plays no more. Had we run the ball in the end with Gore or Kap we win that game

Im glad now we have Shanahan calling plays

It's kind of cool how young this core of the future is. Deebo is 25, Aiyuk is 23, and Trey will be 21 on May 9th. These guys could be together for quite a while. Hell, even George is still only 27.

If you want to feel positive.. only watch the first half... If you want to see how bad we fudged our franchise... Watch the last 1/3...

Also he looks slow against this competition in traffic... Less twitch then fields... Seems like a jed pick full of eq

He does look bad on the last 1/3rd compared to Mac ... apparently since he is only 20 y/o they are projecting that they can coach him up

Honestly we don't know, Mac will be likely be good, Lance might be great but is also VERY high risk projection

For those very few Mac Jones supporters out there it is very telling that the WFT that needs a franchise QB wouldn't even trade up 5 spots from 19 to 14 to get him. Instead let the Jets go from 23 to 14. And the Jets didn't give up all that much. Niners traded up to get Lance, There was talk that Falcons were interested, Talks that the Broncos may have traded up if he was available. Bears traded up 9 spots to get Fields. But nobody was willing to trade up to get Jones. Not even Belichick who got him would have traded up to grab him. Jones just fell in his lap and he said ok the other two QB's are gone so I will take Mac Jones.

For the love of God, watch the tape. He's a passer who can run. He's as poised/composed in the pocket as anyone in this class -- incredible considering the small number of reps he's had. It's not hard to see.

Cautiously optimistic.

But Kyle had some conviction when he traded and knew this was the guy. In Kyle we trust, right guys?

Three playoff games in which his receivers created almost no separation. They were not Devonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle out there lol. And he still found a way to get his team the win -- I thought we liked that kind of player here?
