Yeah, it's a manly voice not like Kermit the frog in Kansas City.

Chris Sims said on PFT Live that he doesn't think Trey is worth the 3rd pick in the draft. Said he was shocked that the pick wasn't Jones. What a douche bag - the guy is a blow hard.

I guess time will tell. If Lance is a flop and Bellicheat gets back on his feet with Mac then...

kyle has loved this kid since January....our FO played this about as good as it gets.

can't wait to see what this kid can do

Yup. That makes two of us. This is a massive BALLS move and it could bomb, but I appreciate the move. Mac was "safe and boring". The sky's the limit here. Oh Kyle is arrogant, but this shows he's constantly evolving as well within that arrogance lol
Man I can't wait to see Lance play, this dude is just going to make this offense so explosive and Kyle and John are only going to keep adding more pieces around him. I have no question with his hard work and Kyle's coaching he can reach his ceiling

S**t changed when Kyle watched Allen dominate us that monday night

Simms is turning into a total contrarian. He wants to be relevant so badly.

I'll echo what I said for his Fields evaluation because it fits Lance as well. It makes no f**king sense with his usual evaluations.

This is the same dude who had Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson graded higher than most. He's got Rodgers as his top QB all time with John Elway 2nd. Brady 3rd and Montana 7th.

This dude is all about physical tools.

Now he puts Mac Jones and Kellen Mond over Lance and Fields?

That's what we call hypocritical.

Of course Kyle is cocky and arrogant but just like a ton of guys in this business.
And he said multiple times that he evolves his approach.
Just look to the WRs he drafted.
He saw that he made a big mistake with Pettis so he took Deebo and Aiyuk. Deebo specially is the tough mof this team needed.
And IIRC, the guy he wanted in 2012 was Russell Wilson and not Cousins. He ´s also on the record saying that he would have drafted Josh Allen in 2017.
That being said Trey Lance is a big leap of faith. For me Fields should have been the choice and Mac Jones had a better floor.
But if Kyle thinks he can help Lance reach his ceiling, let´s go. It´s a scary project but it´s exciting as hell.
The upside with this kid is absurd.

He's just mad bc his bff didn't agree with his evaluation. I didn't favor any QB but i was more toward Lance/Fields. I think Jones will be a good QB, but needs everything around him to be perfect. I don't see him becoming Brees or Brady.
I'll take Shanahan's word on what he needs to take his system to another level over what Simms thinks any day.

Everything Kyle said lately pointed to Fields/Lance. I think all of us were just scared by the media pushing Mac Jones but it never made any logical sense that we would do that.

The draft basically confirmed what most of us were saying which is if we wanted Jones we could've stayed at our original pick at taken him.

I preferred Fields but always said if Lance shows he's got a better grasp of the offense I'd have no issue with that pick. Clearly it sounded like he did just that. It will be interesting to see how Fields and Jones do in comparison to Lance but there's no question our situation was the best fit for a QB. So hopefully 5+ years from now everyone is thrilled with Lance being the choice.

I trust Kyle if we made this move that we have a guy who is going to be special with this roster and coaching.
im curious is there any tape of his pro day? Like real tape not jsut a throw or two?

Im curious how much his mechanics improved in the past year.

He is such a wierd prospect because he isnt raw mentally or physically and he comes from a pro style offense where he made pre and post snap adjustments. The only thing missing is reps and he needed to improve his mechanics and accuracy/ball placement

Yup. This is what NY and I kept saying. If Kyle was being real about trying to find that top 5 QB. Mac wasn't it. Fields and Lance have that ceiling. Simple as that. Ballsy move and we will have to be patient since I don't expect him to play much at all this year. No problem!
So fired up to see how he develops. He couldn't be in a better situation. Glad Jimmy is on the team so we don't have to throw Trey into the fire. Maybe he challenges to start from game one, but I'm hoping they sit him until at least mid season. Let the confidence build. Alternatively, I believe Kyle can make him a star year 1 just like RG3.
