Players who have explicit weaknesses like only reading half the field/issue going through progressions, need read options/rollouts, trouble with certain type of passes trouble with certain type of zone reads, etc
that's where watching film and exploring those weaknesses help
Once again the QBs who don't know how to do more than that were never going to be successful long term.
Lance in a short amount of time has shown the ability to go through his reads so there shouldn't be a reason why more tape on him would ruin him.
It's not more tape that dooms those QBs, it's their lack of development or self improvement. Simple as that.
Look at Russell Wilson. The early book on him was "keep him in the pocket and force him to throw" well Wilson worked to improve his ability to throw from the pocket so that gameplan is out the window now. Yet there is more tape of him out there. Why is that?
