Again you've misinterpret my comment…all I said was I was watching some Elway highlights and there are plays that he makes that Lance can as well, things that require a special skill set. Guys like Mac and Jimmy simply can not make the same plays.

That in no shape is saying he's Elway or eluding to him being him…Lance DOES have that skill set, it's just raw being a 21 yr old with limited reps.

so stop putting words in my mouth saying I'm comparing him to Elway. stop taking things so literal & and actually read what I wrote…I could say Brett Favre/young all the same. People bring up Josh Allen just as well. It's the god given talent that's there.

Even watching the highlights of Elway.....I'm not really sure I've seen Lance do any of that. The Lance samples are limited, but I'd say his arm strength isn't on the same level as JE's, and he's not as mechanically sound either. Elway was, before P. Manning, the last can't miss freak, who got saddled with a below par offense under Dan Reeves in his early years in Denver.

Anyways....I just hope Lance can make strides, work on those mechanics.....given his seemingly obssessive desire to work on his game, I'm confident in the kid.

And like I said, if Trey Lance can make it, it will be on his own unique skill set. Elway or Farve or any other successful QB and Trey Lance should not be in the same sentence at this point or really ever.

Well in that case watch highlight film of any random high school kid throwing a slant…..well Trey can't make that play.

I don't see the Elway comparison - Trey is going to have his own style.
