i agree that if i had to draw a heat map for trey, there'd be a whole bunch of running plays then nothing in the air less than 50 yards.

trey doesnt have the automated footwork to make that play right now.

And personally i dont want trey to run 20 yards backwards to find his inner houdini. that kind of excitement we dont need.

Lol, the footwork of scrambling around and then chucking it isn't really practiced, dude. But if you pull up his college highlights you'll see something similar.

He is so ready, and he will show all of us in game 1. Watch out.

Really? You watched every NDSU game he played? You guys have not even seen Lance run yet.

I don't think NY was saying that Lance is MUCH LIKE Elway, he was only making a point to recognize.. plus, Lance is no way CLOSE to being John, not at all.. if there's one comparison it should be, which include his arm motion or delivery, it's should be the late Air.

I'm looking at plays like this…

and imo Lance has the god given ability to make these types of plays. You can not say that about every QB.

that's it. I'm not comparing him to Elway but WZ gonna WZ

Not exactly the same.. but any close reason to post this again, I'll do it.

That f**king guy.

That guy led the league in INTS his second year as a starter, then two more time throughout his career. Garbage. Perennial backup.

He was also incredibly injury prone and was mostly a dink & dunk QB depending on RAC yards from his WRs

How hasn't Trey produced in the pocket so far?

He's ran a handful of times
Numerous drops for first downs
has the most TDs than all the First round QBs

He just needs playing time

40 dropbacks Seven sacks. No game over 50% completion. That's a billboard that says not ready all caps
He's not a finished product by any means. But he's made the throws, nice ones, but he can't catch them himself to raise that comp%

Sacks are on the OL. He's not standing back there for 5+ secs. and just taking a sack. See the hit he got injured on?.. a LB came up the middle untouched

This is all very easy to see. unless you just go by the box score

He's on his way... as he keeps getting better every game

^ That's possibly the best post I've ever seen from you ATT. Your defense of Trey > your defense of Jimmy
Oh c'mon my brother. I'm 9er first and foremost. I have only one side and it's to see us win. I invest 10k every year to my team and only want what's best. Trey is the future and we shouldn't screw that up

I am still floored knowing that dude did all of that with a torn ACL. Wow.

Not getting into the Elway discussion but I completely disagree about Trey's footwork. When he knows where he's going with the ball, and he's on time his footwork is sublime.

Most of his issues come when he's unsure where he's supposed to go and his mechanics break down.

As soon as he gets to the point where he trusts his eyes he will be unstoppable paired with Kyle.

I don't know when that will come, but I'm convinced it'll come quicker with game reps than it would from the bench.

This. I'm not worried about his footwork at all either…it's all about being confident with his reads, not double clutching.

people see Elway and they immediately think I'm comping him too him. Never said that. I'm saying his skill set is there to make plays like the ones I posted. Guys like Mac Jones could have the best mechanics in the world and they could never make plays like that…doesn't have the god given ability to do it.

I remember Barrows during the draft saying Shanny was looking for Elway like upside…Matt said if there was a guy in this draft it was Lance. s**t is gonna take some time but the ability is there

Dude was crazy…you forget how good he was. It popped up in my TL and I wanted to share it. Apparently people took it way out of context, shocker in here

Yeah that comment made no sense….mechanics go out the window when you're making those type of plays. Also his footwork when he's confident in his read is actually damn good.
