I'll bet money the Bills and Chargers are happy that they got to start (and develop) their QBs sooner than later.
This isn't that kind of league anymore. The whole "he needs to sit and learn" principle is so antiquated. These offensive coordinators are so good at drawing things up and easing these players into the position. This is a passing league now, which definitely helps. Also, all of these guys are so much more prepared than they were even a decade ago. So many QB camps, 7v7 tournaments, private workouts, etc etc.
I don't think Lance is ready, but that doesnt necessarily mean that he can't play well and learn as he goes... provided we can protect him.
"These offensive coordinators are so good at drawing things up and easing these players into the position" I'm thinking that the Defensive Coordinators are pretty damn good themselves and that they salivate when they see a rookie QB trot out onto the field. I seriously doubt there is an advantage for one side or the other in this regard. The Bills and Chargers didn't think they were a SB ready roster when they put the kids in the lineup, unlike the Niners, who believe they are ready, right now, to make a legitimate run at the crown now.
You really think that a DC would salivate seeing Trey come onto the field? I think they'll be too busy quaking about defending our running game with the added threat of a QB that can hurt them.
So many people are missing the glaringly obvious. Kyle is already enough for a DC to handle, adding Trey into the mix be it full or part time is bad news for DC's.
