Ohh, I get it. Lance has the ability to run and Chipotle gives you the runs.

The topic wasn't on talent but signs of their mechanics being coached up consistently to where you can tell across all 4. And all 4 continue to struggle with it here.

What's wrong with Mullens mechanics? Dude did about as good as you can being a UDFA and lacking overall talent to play QB at the NFL level.

Jimmy struggled doing the same stuff while in NE & CJ by most draft evaluators was barely draftable…he's since got a second contract and the backup job in Jax.

Talent has to be part of the topic. Kyle has squeezed about as much as you can with every QB his been given…you can only polish up a turd so much.

This makes me so happy. We got a good one here. I was concerned at first but now I'm sold
Wilson's mechanics are similar to Trey's, but I think Wilson does a better job of keeping things closer and compact. Trey has a habit of getting a bit loose and loopy with his delivery. On Trey's load, that ball gets pretty far from his frame(ie demonstrated in that photo above).

lol Mahomes has awful mechanics, but he's a godly thrower. I've never seen a dude break every rule but makes it all consistently work. I don't think we should compare anyone to Mahomes. He truly is one of a kind.

So nobody has grown in mechanics except Mullens? So that's a talent issue?

This guy has worked with Josh Allen for years and he breaks down Trey's mechanics and in a later video breakdown says he sees a lot of the same stuff with Trey that he's seen with Allen

Wilson throws moonballs with tight spirals, Kap only a fastball with no air and a long wind up at release.
Treys doesn't resemble either to me.
Mahomes is just multi angle and releases. Wilson and Mahomes just know how to get it done.

What's wrong with CJ's mechanics? His issue is pocket presence and above the neck. Like I said he's currently on a second contract as someone that probably shouldn't have even been drafted. Talent absolutely matters as far as success goes (and how much of it you have).

like I said Jimmy was poop from the waist down before he got here…you can ingrain the proper techniques all you want, it's up to the player to actually do it end of the day.

kyle realized what Jimmy was good at and made the offense around that, just like he's done everywhere he's coached.

Yeah, I think Josh Allen is the most similar to Trey in this aspect. The difference that I see is in their footwork. Allen's footwork is very good now while Trey's is all over the place.

Greg Cosell believes that QBs upper body mechanics can only be minimally altered at this level, but footwork is where the majority of big improvements can be made. Andy Reid must feel the same way because the main thing they worked on with Mahomes was his feet. I think this is where Trey will see the biggest improvement.

As were BeatHard and Mullens. Maybe this is becoming a coaching issue that we're now just seeing.

If this was a drilled in coaching focus, all would look similar in how they navigate the pocket. Instead, it looks like a total free-for-all...each looked totally different from the other.

CJ and Mullens were subpar to bad talents overall…not sure what people were realistically expecting from them? Jimmy's issues were the same in NE. I got plenty of local camp reports from NE with Jimmy. Sometimes that's just who they are.

The topic wasn't on talent but signs of their mechanics being coached up consistently to where you can tell across all 4. And all 4 continue to struggle with it here.

mullens lookd far better here and put together a pretty good string on games in the regular season compared to his performance in Phi preseason against backups

Oh man,...the arm on that guy!!
It's like blaming the Philly coaching staff because Ben Simmons can't shoot lol. A LOT of that s**t is on the player and putting the time in to get better…great thing with Lance is we know he's putting in the time to improve.

good coaches will put those players in a position to be successful and realize what their limitations are.

Also people don't really believe Kyle is sitting there all practice teaching Lance proper footwork, do they? They have a QB coach and the player goes to coaches to work on that. IMO I hope Lance goes and works out with Jordan Palmer this yr, he's the one that transformed Josh Allen's mechanics.
