Greg Cosell believes that QBs upper body mechanics can only be minimally altered at this level, but footwork is where the majority of big improvements can be made. Andy Reid must feel the same way because the main thing they worked on with Mahomes was his feet. I think this is where Trey will see the biggest improvement.
Oh yeah the footwork is what can be improved a ton…part of that is just being confident in your reads for starters.
Paneli wasn't worried about his upper body mechanics either.
I'd like Lance to go workout with Palmer this yr.

Joe Staley on @KNBR on Shanahan's options with Trey Lance:
— Jake Hutchinson (@hutchdiesel) September 7, 2021
"It's going to be very scary... Trey allows Kyle to create number advantages... He has to develop as a pocket passer, but that will come. I think once that gets out there, I think the sky's the limit for this offense." pic.twitter.com/MX4FBbYEfy

dont be sorry its just an opinion... what Wilson is doing here with his lead arm is much different than what Kap/Trey are doing... Wilson is using the off hand and arm to generate roational inertia which is correct, Kap/Trey are using the off hand for balance to correct for errors in their passing motion

Man, if I didn't cancel my Adobe After Effects subscription, I'd make a sweet side-by-side to illustrate how similar these dudes are up top. The difference is in the feet. Allen is very good now with his feet.

What are talking about the lead arm lol? It's a freaking screenshot
The lower half of throwing mechanics are what matter much more when it comes to throwing an accurate ball. Could his throwing motion be a little more compact sure…there's a s**t ton of QBs that are successful without being the best there.

Yup agreed, Allen had some sloppy feet in college all the same…he started working with Palmer and blew up last yr. I'd like Lance go workout with him this yr at some point.

you asserted from your pic of Wilson that Trey's passing mechanics are more like his... you are wrong as far as I am concerned, they are completely different and the lead arm is one example just from these pics alone... when guys wind up like Kap/Trey to throw the ball the lead arm extends out and they "point" because the wind up causes a a balance problem, its a hard habit to break...
