Banks has been solid. If we can resign him for a good cost that would be great. We need to replace Brendal and maybe draft a RT/LT in the first or second round. But Brendal is the weak link in the line. He is routinely getting beat and causing Purdy to have pressure in his face.

I think Banks has been okay. He seems like your run-of-the-mill average guard in the NFL, not great but serviceable. Given that the cap is increasing it may not be that bad of an idea to keep Banks around for a year or so, depending on what you plan on doing in the draft. I really don't care if they let him go just thinking you can't replace everybody in one offseason. Yes, the team needs to get younger and find a new core but that doesn't mean you just dump everybody either. The 49ers could boost their offensive line by using their 1st round pick on a G (or trading back a few slots and getting one). Remember what Iupati did for the 9ers? :)

I would rather roll with a rookie.

He's been slightly better than Burford his whole time here.

Burford looked decent when he had to cover for Banks at LG

in the past, someone posted he's a left side kinda guy

Banks and Moore did a decent job for being a patchwork OL

I think Brendal losing everything he knew about playing football ruined everything

but he's a RG. Maybe move Pun to LG or center

Risner played LG for Denver and has experience at Center. We could have kicked the tires on him last off season when it seemed teams forgot he existed.

Risner will get a serious raise. Perhaps the reason the 49ers didn't look at him is his relative weakness in run blocking. He is very good at PP. Based on what similar players are getting, he will be in the $8+ million range.

Correct, he's horrible this year at run blocking. He's below 60 PFF rating in RB, but good in PP.

Banks is the opposite of that unfortunately this past year.

hahaha I cant argue that, but I think with 12 picks we can find a guard who will be cheap and do a good job. Now center... well you mentioned a good FA.

Just curious, where are you seeing that we have 12 picks ?

Great 49ers gift ideas
He didn't answer, but I think from here because that's where I got it from.

Yep. I quite like Banks. Who though would pay him 20m?

Keep telling everyone how bad OL play is across the league. Folks don't want to hear it and think it's just SF who's playing with no OL.

it's FA and he's young, those types of guys always get overpaid. He will probably get Jonah Jackson type cash.
18 to 20 for Banks? Dam. Good for him and good for us. Dude needs replacing

He's good, definitely benefitted playing along side Trent. 18m is wild, our interior OL is weak af
