I think Banks has been okay. He seems like your run-of-the-mill average guard in the NFL, not great but serviceable. Given that the cap is increasing it may not be that bad of an idea to keep Banks around for a year or so, depending on what you plan on doing in the draft. I really don't care if they let him go just thinking you can't replace everybody in one offseason. Yes, the team needs to get younger and find a new core but that doesn't mean you just dump everybody either. The 49ers could boost their offensive line by using their 1st round pick on a G (or trading back a few slots and getting one). Remember what Iupati did for the 9ers? :)
