RB Trey Sermon

I really like Sermon but my gut feeling is he ends up being cut or traded. Not cause he's a bad player but cause he just isn't a very good fit in this offense and the team is already loaded at RB. i feel if he goes to another team maybe he is a better fit in there offense. I do hope i'm wrong and he stays and contributes here but i just don't see it happening.

That last RB spot is either Hasty or Sermon..

Hasty is too small, and plays small, and limited to be useful..
Sermon has had better flashes of usefulness in the regular season games from last season, Sermon is probably a overall better backup RB to keep and more useful than Hasty to keep for the 53 men roster cut.

Too many good rb on this team to wait for sermon. Cut tonight

Hate to say it, but I agree. Sermon was given a chance with the first team offense (ish) and looked indecisive and slow.

Yeah, I agree too.
I didn't like the pick to begin with and having seeing his pre-season performance against the Packers last night, nothing has changed my mind about him, he still looks looks meh to me.

Cut him and move on.

I'd like to see how Jordan Mason does with the firsts, before I'd do that. But agree 💯% that he still looks slow and indecisive with the firsts last night.

Yeah I almost said it before the game but I think he's getting cut. I think long term Mason will be the better player and Hasty is better right now.

I think you can have Mason on the PS and hasty

I really want this guy to be good. I just don't see it. Would love to be wrong.

Carlos's Hyde 2.0

In my opinion.

Actually one could hope.

Particularly in an offense that's pretty much back by committee.

Hyde was/is a pretty good back. Certainly not great but he has a thousand yard season on his resume and had he played 16 games, or even 14 games, for us in 2016 he would no doubt have 2 thousand yard seasons on his resume as he ran for 988 yards in 13 games that year.

I remember there was a direct comparison to him and Jeremy Hill of LSU/Bengals for a while. Drafted the same year, drafted the same round and similar builds. While Hyde hasn't had a year as good as Hill's rookie year, he is/or was, still playing. Hill isn't.

As on Ohio State fan I want Sermon to be good too. Not looking great right now.

competent RBs are a dime a dozen. Sermon doesn't even meet that standard. Most team will probably end up cutting a RB better than him. Would rather take a flyer on someone else

I think Hasty has improved. He looks more decisive this year. He also adds more special teams value than Sermon. I'm keeping him on the 53 or signing a RB who gets cut.

I liked Sermon during the pre draft process but I admit I was probably way off.
maybe we could trade him for some draft capital?

We seem to do well w/5th round selections.

All of this. He and Hasty can both go. Mitchell, Wilson, TDP & Mason for me plz

Ya, wasn't fan of that pick either. Nothing on tape that stood out. He has good acceleration but that's about it. Definitely not elite enough to make up for how average he was in other areas.

Seems to be the 4th or 5th best rb on the team. And if you include juice then he drops down another spot. i think he makes the team over Hasty due to draft capital they spent on him.

What exactly are you questioning?

Ithink he's saying sermon is gone

I hope so but I think they'll keep him one more year

The indecisive part is brutal and you especially can't have that in this offense.

I'm not sure he makes the 53.
