As for Sermon and Hasty, they both should be cut. I'm not a fan of either.

Yeah I'd keep those 4. Would be a solid room.

would hasty garner us a 7th round pick.. ok. probably not.. geez. how come we can not have this nice problem to have in the offensive line

Hasty's shown flashes here or there but I prefer what the other 4 offer. 4 bruisers.
Can we trade this dude to the phins…McDaniels pick

i think we get more for hasty than we would for sermon
If the thought process of only keeping Hasty for his 3rd blocking and pass catching.... Can't we just use Juice for that roll? He can block and can run routes... plus Wilson good coming out of backfield.. I'm keeping Mitchell, TPD, Wilson, and Mason

one day we will actually use juice like everyone says we will or should.... and not for fourth and two runs up the middle..

I wish. He is least utilized player on the team.

Spencer Brown was available when we drafted Sermon.

How does one quantify this exactly?

He is a blocker first and foremost. Second, Jimmy couldn't hit him on those wide open wheel routes to save his life.

Sermon hasn't been great but fanbases always have to find a punching bag for whatever reason. Personally Mason was the only back that looked half decent to me. There's a reason Sermon is getting the first team reps with Mitchell out.

Trade?

Lol… more like cut

Kyle doesn't care about RBs (who starts), like his dad, and we have a starter and a backup already. If sermon is on the 53 he will have a chance if Mitchell and Wilson is injured, if not who ever else will replace who isn't up to par to get the job done to win games, next man up RB.

Jordan Mason has been playing against 3rd and 4th stringers, it remains to be seen if he is good enough to play against NFL starters and produce, this happens every preseason on every team, Kyle would know, and if he is, he will be on the 53. IMO Hasty is still the most limited useful back on the team right now, although he has more experience than TDP and Mason, he lack the size and isn't a every down back. Would you keep someone like that again on the 53 over someone else like Sermon or Mason is the question coming up in 10 days.. at this point, they're looking at if a player is going to help the team in any way to get to the SB and win it or is more useful for the long haul and future to keep, if not what's the point of keeping them? Hasty was on the team last year, did he help the 9ers win the NFCC? Not really.. Hasty had 3 targets and 1 catch for 6 yards and no rushes in the NFCC last year, useless really, has he imporved much, probably not, you can say the same about Semon but who is going to be the every down back if Mitchell and Wilson are injured? Sermon TDP or Mason if kept on 53? Definitely not Hasty LOL, because he's not a every down back and not even a great 3rd down back at that..

I see room for 4 players

Mitchell
Wilson
Hasty
TDP

PS - Mason

There is no room for Sermon

What's the fascination with Hasty?
cuz he has produced unlike sermon and actually wilson right now

No way is Hasty better than Mason.

mitchell. wilson. hasty and mason should stay

You don't like TDP?

Mitchell (2023) then RFA
TDP (2025)
Mason (2024)

Contractually these 3 should stay

Jeff Wilson (2022) Love Wilson but he is not signed long term so i rank him lower
Trey Sermon (2024)- I think he is RB 4 due to contract

Out
Practice Squad
Hasty
Wilson (veteran exemption)

Mitchell is signed thru 2024, I don't see Mason making it, not yet, he's playing against 3rd stringers, let's see him against 1s before we anoint him this great next gem UDFA RB. Wilson makes it IMO.

Who is more likely to make the practice squad if cut, Sermon or Mason?

Mason.

That is who I was thinking also.

What is going on with Wilson? He was excused frum the packers game because of personal reasons but why did he miss the vikings game?

The only thing i can think of is a failed drug test.

As for Sermon, if not for him being dinged last year- Kyle would never have played Elijah, and found out how good he was. My hope is he makes the decision to keep Mason and let Sermon go.

PS I hope Wilson comes back quick, that RB depth is going to critical in a 21 game season.

That's the only thing you can think of? It could just be a family matter.
