As Kruger mentioned Sermon is a back that needs to be feed to produce as he did in college, at least 15-20+ runs.

David Lombardi still has him penciled on his 53, and Hasty on the bubble and Mason to the PS. Lombardi's take is much more consistent than hacks like cohn and Chapman etc who's high on Hasty who has already proven unproductive vs NFL starters in the past 2 seasons and have dropped passes as a 3rd down back and is near useless as a runner.

Lombardi isn't a fortune teller. He's making predictions same as we are.

If we cut Mason, odds are very high we lose him.
This Is why I'm against us drafting RB's with those early round picks. Stick to those late round/undrafted guys and develop them In to studs. No need to waste picks on drafting overrated Rbs.
Tomorrow is a big game for him. If he blows it again, he may be out of the NFL here pretty quick. If he flashes, he'll probably make some roster.

How about CHI? Maybe Justin Fields will vouch for him (college teammates). Agree, he doesn't have much value, if any.

THL, you are walking face first into a buzzsaw. A week 1 matchup vs an angry Trey Sermon. No, thank you.

I'd love to see a Trey Sermon for Amari Rodgers trade. Both were drafted rd 3 last year and been extremely disappointing. I truly think both would be better fits in the other's scheme. Sermon simply is not a fit for the zone scheme and Rodgers is about WR5/6 on the depth chart after they added Doubs / Watson.

Rodgers will be our depth for Deebo's role which we don't have anyone else on the roster who can provide that, even to a lesser degree.

Amari Rodgers that plays for GB? How is that a different scheme for him?

One it's a fresh start.

Two, while we have similar concepts, their playbook is significantly different than ours. They are much more similar to McVay's offense with Goff (crazy RPO heavy).

Yeah I would hate for Sermon to give away all of our secrets to a vastly inferior opponent.

It would be the Trey Sermon revenge game. Lord save us.

This reminds me of the old Jon Baldwin trade you guys are taking me back

I mean GB pretty much runs our offense and they have a HOF level QB. If Rodgers isn't producing there it's definitely not an issue of needing a different scheme.

If we're trading Sermon it should either be for a future pick or see if we can bring in an OLman worth making our roster but if Sermon doesn't make the 53 here it means we have someone who should make it instead of him. Can't give away that spot to someone who hasn't been in this building.

Only reason I think it makes sense is we got no clear WR6 but also no clear RB2-6. Packers got no clear RB3 but got like 5 WR's slated ahead of Rodgers. Basically swapping two 3rd rd disappointments in hopes that a change of scenery changes things. He looked pretty explosive against us in preseason.

It actually makes sense. Rodgers has pretty much no ADOT and is a potential YAC candidate if he got his act together. Keep in mind vs us he ran the wrong route and got abused by rookie Womack on that INT.

Agree 💯%, in fact they should trade down a day two or day three pick, to get multiple day 3 picks (preferably 5th rounders) and out of the 3+ fifth round picks they got for trading down, they pick and RB and an OLineman.
he gone

Depends. If you are getting a Kamara or Hunt, its worth it. Unfortunately we are not.

Reminds me of Eli Harold's and Eric Reid's "revenge games."
Man this guys bad. Watch some film on burford / banks and what pops out is this guy tripping, hitting the hole too slow (it literally parted like the Red Sea) and him running straight at the defense lineman.

maybe he is a late bloomer but man I was watching burford plays and he kept popping off the tape in a bad way
