Therefore they should keep TDP Sermon and Mason, every down backs, as the backups to Mitchell and Wilson consider how often running backs get injured on the 9ers since Kyle became HC.
Hasty brings nothing useful to this team and has already proven that in 2 seasons prior plus they have Deebo and Ray Ray who can do the same thing better, he's insurance to nothing.
lol. he's probably the best pass-blocking RB on the team. add in his good hands and it's why he's the 3rd down back.

I think you will see that Mason is....if he makes the team that is. I feel like Hasty has dropped a fair amount of passes based on memory. I like Hasty though.

I would put Sermon on the squad. Mitchell and TDP can be a great duo and Sermon can develop or spell TDP in the power role.

Hasty has caught 81% of his targets in his career.

According to who? Cohn or you? Lol. He drops passes all the time as a 3rd down back (he was targeted 3 times and only caught 1 pass and no rushes in the NFCC last year while Deebo had 7 rushes and Mitchell was targeted 3 times and caught all 3) and he's the shortest player on the team 5'8".
Like I said he's already proven useless and waste of touches, they're better off just using Deebo and Ray Ray for the same role. Ray Ray is also replacing him as kick off returner, 1 of the main reason Ray Ray was brought in.

I would agree that quality depth is important, especially at RB for our team. We haven't had the best injury history there in the last couple years.
But for Trey Sermon, it's concerning that even when the position was so thin last year due to injuries, he made minimal contributions as a 3rd rounder. There was hope that he'd make some strides this year. Hopefully he shows that he belongs in tonight's preseason game.
He was injured after a few games last year, the o line is a work in progress this whole TC and preseason, and Mason had Jason Poe blocking for him for holes vs 3rd stringers and the coaches know that, don't think Sermon did, he had Aaron Banks, which many said will be replaced by Poe soon. Regardless if 9ers need to cut a RB it should be Hasty first, if Sermon is a lost cause then let him go too, then all they have behind Mitchell and Wilson is TDP and Mason who might not even be ready to contribute against starting NFL defenses who could still go to the PS haha.. don't think that's enough or is good.

"he drops passes all the time"
you dont watch games do you? none of the incompletions to Hasty in the NFCCG were attributed to drops.

Hasty also has a 8.0 yards per catch average on 3rd down and a 10.6 yards per catch average in the 4th quarter in his career.

Lmao.. we'll see in a few days which RB(s) is cut and which is going to the PS lol! Keeping Hasty is useless and redundant when you have and can use Deebo and Ray Ray instead for way more and consistent production.

I think Sermon has a better chance of making the team over Hasty because of where he was drafted. I think Mason and Sermon could still be competing for that final Rb spot. ( Still hoping Mason gets the nod )
As for Hasty, I think his days as a 9er are numbered.
