Worst pick of the Shanahan era, for sure.

Hurd is up there too, but at least Hurd's lack of success was injury related, not a lack of skills.

Joe Williams was bad too. Banks better show something or he could be in contention.

but the obvious answer is Solomon Thomas with Mahomes, Watson, and Lattimore on the board.

I'm judging the worst pick based on what we actually got out of the player. Solomon Thomas at least did SOMEthing for this franchise. I get that we passed on a HOF QB, but I am judging strictly on the player itself.

Sermon at the top of the list for me.

Jenkins and Woods are two 1st rounders that did absolutely nothing.

Right. And both are very far removed from the Shanahan era haha.

I think Solly should be the #1 bust from the Shanny era due to the fact he was drafted #3 overall and did absolute nothing out there on the field.

Sermon would be a close 2nd though.
Jeez I can't believe we cut that guy and the lower draft picks are better.

Horribly bad take from the very beginning. But I think where Kyle & Lynch are winning @ lies in not GAF about when they swing and miss.

They swing for the fences when they draft and they don't hang on too long when they make mistakes. So it looks ugly at times but so long as they record more hits than outs, the results say that they're still winning.

Hard to find reliable guys and build a team from the ground up. Luckily out of the draft rollercoaster of the shanny era, we have legit starters everywhere and hopefully now, we can really focus on better draft acquisitions on the other lacking positions. Which isn't that many

Cut after only a year. Its just crazy. Reading through the early pages of this thread and seeing posters compare him to Frank Gore n shiet

Man, this is why I try not to overreact on draft day
He was always a luxury pick from a pick acquired via trade, never really fit the system. RB world is sink or swim.
He going on practice squad?

Really? Didn't Thomas and Sermon at least play in actual football games? Hurd should be considered the biggest bust. He never even made it onto the field.

I doubt he would want to. He isnt a fit here. If i were him i'd go to another teams practice squad.

I dont think he sucks as bad as some on here think. His style just doesnt fit our scheme. They probably thought someone would trade for him yesterday and then when no one called they waived him.

At least they cut there losses early. Some people on here claim this regime holds on to "their" players
And to think if they were smart, we could have had C/G Quinn Meinerz instead.... fools

Kyle and Lynch have proven they're not afraid to demote, trade or cut anyone at any position once they have better options available, at least they got a decent o lineman to replace his spot which is the biggest weakness of the team this season and TDP, Mason and Sermon are all very similar backup rbs and apparently Sermon is the least promising of the 3..

Probably had to wait for waivers. Once we claimed Hance someone had to make way.
