I hate hate hate to say it but hope we trade Wilson for a late pick, we are a little crowded now and I want him to get a decent amount of reps with another team. I also wanna see hasty get a few
It will be interesting taking a RB in Rd 3 instead of off the Walmart parking lot. Can't even imagine what that is like. So out of character for Kyle which means he is changing to meet the times. And wiht JL there, is getting great advice.

Not sure I like the pick.

You mean the one where the defender comes in with a clear shot at Sermon and he jukes him to take a clear loss play for a substantial gain?

Totally not impressive...

ya look at the balance. He regains his balance and then is able to complete his run

Oh my god it's the same highlight. Can we pick another one? It's a good play but we have seen it over and over. Good player but not a position of need for us. We've done this every year since shanny came in at least once in every draft

This was definitely a position of need.

That seems strange to me. Wilson look good last year. Mostert look good Hasty Flashed. Turner will bring in a couple of unknown studs and kick ass in training camp. Like clockwork every year. I understand the injury thing but I think we could get by with journeyman and non-fumbling udfa

If they can make unknowns 1k yard backs imagine what he can do with a top back like Sermon. It was an awesome pick.

That's not at all what happened -

Watched all the clips I could find. - not bad, but reminds me of Coleman who I wasn't a fan of

Not sure I like the value there - moving up to grab

I generally don't like tall backs - prefer low center of gravity whether shifty or power

Admittedly I''m not excited, but also not saying he's trash.

edit: Forgot to add his college career gives me pause. Apparently he couldn't get playing time at Oklahoma so he transferred to Ohio. Had the same problem until he had a couple of good games. Had one amazing game against Clemson, which is promising, but I'm not hanging my hat on it. I hope KS is right.

what? watch his game against Northwestern top defense

It is a position of need because, like our QB, and our interior linemen, our RBs always hurt.

And all FA after this season. I kept saying they would go RB. They got a lot of folks rb4 with many saying he's comparable to the top 3.
He ain't no NFL power back. He's only 215.

do you see shannys scripting any plays or him? That's the only way I look at this as a win. If he decides this guy can be part of a game plan that makes defenses have to respect a whole bunch of options that we don't have already, then it's a win. From what I see on tape I'm not sure this is the kind of athlete where that's going to happen. I don't see him taking reps away from the Jet Sweep or stuff like that. or the underneath tight end toss and so on. He's not scripting up any any new wheel routes for Tre. Spit he doesn't even lineup moster at flanker and send him on a fly once in awhile even though he's usually the fastest player on the field

Not big enough to be power back. Not fast enough to be speed back.
Could have just waited and gotten Gainwell. What a name.

Not necessarily. When Shanny Sr. finally spent a high pick on RB it was Clinton Portis. It was the difference between a 1000 and a 1500 yard runner.

Then Gallman, Mostert and Williams with one year left. Either Mostert gets injured or if he stays healthy he will likely have a good enough season to get a RB contract on the higher end. With Hasty, while he flashed a couple times after he had some ball security issues seemed like they dont trust him yet.

Looks like the strategy this offseason was to use this year to build allot of cap space for next year by how they are drafting. They have a team that can win now and then will have the cap space to go after a big name or two next offseason.

My comp for him is Melvin Gordon

At 215 he ran a 1.49 10 spit 👀
6.84 3-cone 👀

Thanks NY I was looking for that 10 yards split. How is he compared to the best running back's in this class or even the NFL?

94th percentile in the NFL 👀

For reference Alvin Kamara ran a 1.55 10 yard split.
Melvin Gordon ran 1.62. Dalvin Cook ran a 1.59. Ezekiel Elliott ran a 1.58. Matt Breida ran a 1.53. Raheem Mostert ran a 1.49.
