Exactly OTC... If you look at the players chosen by the Niners in this draft, everyone except for the safety from USC is durable and tough. I think 2020 just really pissed Shanny and Lynch off because of all the injuries and they finally just said "F**k it! Let's just get some monsters". They did...and Trey II is one of 'em.

One of the things that gets really lost when it comes to Trey Sermon is he only had 450 carries his entire college career as opposed to someone like Johnathan Taylor who had 930 attempts in just 3 years. Sermon is a fresh RB at 22 years old compared to so many

The Hunt comp everyone has made is pretty on point. neither have that long speed, they both have amazing contact balance and can stop and go very quickly. good feet. I think Hunt is a better pass catcher but Sermon can do that as well.

Unlike Hyde he actually has feet and vision. So many times Hyde would miss a wide open hole while taking it outside. Maddening.

Agreed, Hyde was all about trying to run dudes over. Piss poor vision overall. It's a bad comp and solely based on him playing in OSU for one yr.

I really like that Arian Foster comp that you and I think Hero threw out there. Totally see it. Sermons contact balance is the best of this draft class by far. Him in this offense is a ridiculous good fit and I can't wait to see it, wouldn't shock me if he turns out the best of this draft class. Najee in Pitt is a damn good fit too though

There are a few of his runs that look extremely Gore like. His toughness, balance through contact, and vision look very much like a young Frank Gore during his Miami years.
