teaching someone not to run upright might be the easiest thing to fix.

I agree mitchell is not the type of runner that could be a feature back/3 down back because he isnt great in between the tackles but as ive read and seen multiple times he is one of the best rb for running outside the tackles which is important in KS scheme.

They're good athletes - I think they'll be fine and contribute.

Lots of inside with Gallman/Sermon and outside with Mostert/Mitchell.

Mostert had a challenge making a 53 himself, was a part of 6 different rosters in 2 seasons before he landed here. The same guy who coached up Mostert will be coaching up Mitchell, and they both play within the same system with the same play caller.

The system itself and the coaches coaching it have a lengthy and proven track record of success with finding, developing and getting production at the RB position from the finest athletes working at Target.

Mitchell is in good hands but only time will tell if he is the next late round Shanahan running back find or not

The finest athletes working at Target. I do agree and most likely Mostert might cost too much next year so Trey and Trey will both be starters by next year imo

for fantasy football purposes as well

He looks good in the pictures of the 8 picks posing in game day uniforms, #28 suits him well, also looks like Ambry Thomas switched to #20
Gonna need a player number daily update
Watching his highlight tapes, I am so excited for this guy. He has the short area quickness that can make you miss in a phone booth. Just has a knack for avoiding contact. He runs faster with the ball in his hands and sets up blockers well. He's everything we loved in JaMycal Hasty, but on a greater level. Has also has some really great contested catches on tape. I think he will be the perfect "Thunder" to Mostert's "Lightning" and hopefully prevent us from running Mostert into the ground. I think I am going to try and stash him in Fantasy leagues in like the 8th or 9th round. Hopefully Shannahan found his Alfred Morris/Terrell Davis.
The way he lets his blocking develop reminds me so much of Gore. I get a bit of Leveon Bell vibe too, as he slowly surveys the blocking and let's it form, then plants and goes when he sees it. I think he will flourish with the 9ers. He must be pumped to be here.

If only he could develop his pass blocking to Gore's level. I like that comparison, but I also like the Kareem Hunt one. LeVeon is another good comparison with the patience and burst. Sermon's 10 yard split, 3 cone, broad, and vertical are all elite. I look at how Shannahan used Morris in Washington, and get so excited. I love Mostert too, a threat to take it to the house, but Sermon is going to be the guy we're going to be grinding the clock out with in the 4th.

Joe Williams had elite burst as well. I'm not crowning any rookie based off workouts.

It's comments like these that make me wonder if fans even watch the games.

ncommand— I know that's Kyle's strategy with backs but he was an idiot anytime he started Coleman over Mostert.

now Evil.... if you think Mostert will have problems making the 53 then you just don't appreciate Mostert. He's not just speed. He's still learning to setup his blockers but you can tell once he gets rolling he's basically an 80 yard TD waiting to happen on every play. He made the offense tick most of the time, unless Shanny forgets about the run and has to use Kittle to bail him out on 3rd and long.

Mostert is really, really good. His angles are better, his speed is better and he's tough too. It ain't the system. Mostert can bust the home run but Coleman gets 6 yards that's the difference.
