Lots of inside with Gallman/Sermon and outside with Mostert/Mitchell.
If you read Mitchell's scouting report, you would know that one of his weaknesses is he runs upright and doesn't have the cutting ability of Mostert. He'll have a challenge making the top 53.
Mostert had a challenge making a 53 himself, was a part of 6 different rosters in 2 seasons before he landed here. The same guy who coached up Mostert will be coaching up Mitchell, and they both play within the same system with the same play caller.
The system itself and the coaches coaching it have a lengthy and proven track record of success with finding, developing and getting production at the RB position from the finest athletes working at Target.
Mitchell is in good hands but only time will tell if he is the next late round Shanahan running back find or not
It's comments like these that make me wonder if fans even watch the games.
ncommand— I know that's Kyle's strategy with backs but he was an idiot anytime he started Coleman over Mostert.
now Evil.... if you think Mostert will have problems making the 53 then you just don't appreciate Mostert. He's not just speed. He's still learning to setup his blockers but you can tell once he gets rolling he's basically an 80 yard TD waiting to happen on every play. He made the offense tick most of the time, unless Shanny forgets about the run and has to use Kittle to bail him out on 3rd and long.
Mostert is really, really good. His angles are better, his speed is better and he's tough too. It ain't the system. Mostert can bust the home run but Coleman gets 6 yards that's the difference.
