Lots of inside with Gallman/Sermon and outside with Mostert/Mitchell.

If you read Mitchell's scouting report, you would know that one of his weaknesses is he runs upright and doesn't have the cutting ability of Mostert. He'll have a challenge making the top 53.

Mostert had a challenge making a 53 himself, was a part of 6 different rosters in 2 seasons before he landed here. The same guy who coached up Mostert will be coaching up Mitchell, and they both play within the same system with the same play caller.

The system itself and the coaches coaching it have a lengthy and proven track record of success with finding, developing and getting production at the RB position from the finest athletes working at Target.

Mitchell is in good hands but only time will tell if he is the next late round Shanahan running back find or not

It's comments like these that make me wonder if fans even watch the games.

ncommand— I know that's Kyle's strategy with backs but he was an idiot anytime he started Coleman over Mostert.

now Evil.... if you think Mostert will have problems making the 53 then you just don't appreciate Mostert. He's not just speed. He's still learning to setup his blockers but you can tell once he gets rolling he's basically an 80 yard TD waiting to happen on every play. He made the offense tick most of the time, unless Shanny forgets about the run and has to use Kittle to bail him out on 3rd and long.

Mostert is really, really good. His angles are better, his speed is better and he's tough too. It ain't the system. Mostert can bust the home run but Coleman gets 6 yards that's the difference.

That is not what Evil said.

Um, that isn't what evil said. He used the past tense. Mostert was on the roster of Philadelphia, Miami, Baltimore, Cleveland, NY Jets and Chicago before ending up with us. So perhaps not appropriate to ask if fans even watch the games when clearly you didn't really read what he said.

Yeah, him and Mostert are going to make a good pair.
Sermon will have more touches and perhaps more yards. But Mostert will have more YPC. Mostert does better and last longer when he has limited action as he did in 2019.

Its not going to just be the two of them. I expect Wayne Gallman to get a lot of carries. He was 10th in the league last year in yards per average after contact. He is a tough runner who will be involved in the running game.

The more the merrier.

Joe Williams didn't have a talent issue. The kid is a head case and didn't really want to play football.
Here's the crazy thing. I'm a fan and can only hope for the best. Hope this dude is a baller and ill root till he's no longer a 49er
Mostert, Sermon & Mitchell are locks IMO, I don't see Mitchell clearing waivers.

I also am most looking forward to seeing Sermon out there.

Yeah, I'm jacked to see Sermon, too. I think Mitchell will really surprise.

Think positive.
Sermon should be a beast in our system, at least a fantastic 1-2 with Mostert. I just hope they can both stay healthy.
