Oh I agree he probably won't ever be much of a home run guy, I see him as best case as a guy who consistently gives us 2nd and 5's, 3rd shorts and can convert when we need a yard

For sure that's how they will use him and he can be good at that.

The 49ers first 2 RBs never look good in preseason because of the offensive line. He'll be fine. Maybe a year away from his true potential but still gonna be a big part of the offense imo.

Full disclosure, I have never seen him play prior to tonight. But a few posters I was talking about him with were gassing him so I guess they brainwashed me into buying the hype they were selling LOL.
Didn't see much. But hoping they end up being right.

To me he looked just like how he looked at OSU. No speed or burst, decent but not exciting/outstanding power. Did not like the pick but we'll see how it goes

Outside of the fumble Sermon ran well.

Mostert isn't just 4.3, he's 4.3 wearing 2 sets of pads if he wants. He runs down hill as well. Sermon will be very productive; he also only had like 300 carries his entire college career. He's as fresh as they come
Let's see Sermon out there with our starters on the line. I'm sure we would have saw more. That RG spot needs to improve
