Thanks for the confirmation, why would this guy just make up something like this? What a putz. Either way, Sermon should bounce back once he gets an opportunity.

People want to come up with reasons when I think it's pretty simple. He clearly had less "juice" than Mitchell and Hasty in preseason running the ball and he's also not a special teams factor.

lol what bro? Mitchell ran in one game with Sermon. Game 3.

Sermon went 7 for 37 with a long of 14
Mitchell went 6 for 24 with a long of 9

if anything, Hasty and Gallman were our pre season stars and we know how that ended with Gall.

Im talking about the eye test. I think it was clear Hasty and Mitchell had more burst. Sermon played more than just the third preseason game. I'm far from calling him a bust but I was not surprised by his placement on the depth chart.

I know what I saw in preseason. Mitchell was by far more dynamic.

Mitchell basically had 2 good runs. And 1 run where he knocked over a defender. The rest , he got stuffed.

Hasty was different and did solid, but if we're being fair . He got to run the ball 35 times .

That's incredible that you came to that conclusion off 6 total runs. If anything, the decision to roll with him over sermon was made during tc. Possibly grasping the offense better. It damn sure wasn't made off 6 runs vs the 3rd and 4th stringers in the third quarter while Sermon had his go in the first quarter.

easy to say that now after his amazing performance vs the Lions, and Sermons benching

I'm thinking the kick returns has something to do with what he said

If he doesn't suit up again, that will speak volumes for me.

Some people think Trey Sermon is a bust after Week One. If the rumors are true, Sermon was inactive because he was out with Aiyuk until after the team curfew. Nothing to do with his ability. He looked good in the preseason, making great cuts and running hard. Why on earth would you not have him on the game day roster unless it was an off-the-field issue? Especially now that Mostert is gone.

Watch this week in Philly, Sermon gets 15 carries and rushes for 60 yards and a TD and Aiyuk has 5 catches for 80 yards.

In hope Sermon steps up this week and proves us all wrong. It would be great if one of our rookie top picks did something this year and made contributions. Top picks from the past 2 years are non contributors.

So, that's official, Sermon and Aiyuk missed curfew?

Just read that McDaniel said Sermon has looked very aggressive in practice this week and that he'll get opportunities on Sunday. It's encouraging that he and Aiyuk have answered the bell a bit.

Just read that too. Sometimes that's what it takes I guess for the guys drafted higher to get that kick in the ass to work as hard as those drafted lower or not at all
