Just read that too. Sometimes that's what it takes I guess for the guys drafted higher to get that kick in the ass to work as hard as those drafted lower or not at all
Felt like it was more getting the playbook down. In preseason Sermon danced a bit before hitting holes and this isnt the offense for that, one cut and go. He just didnt look decisive, there is also the pass protection factor... if he showed in practice that he wasnt assignment sound in PP but Mitchell did, that sends him to the bench (when mostert was healthy.)

Agree. I saw all that stuff too. That's why when people were saying they were impressed by him, I had to rewatch it cause I was unimpressed lol. I still think he will get the opportunity to seize the #1 but luckily for us Elijah showed that he can handle that too.

It's already known that Sermon was slow to pick up offenses when he changed schools in college. That's why many people from Ohio state were down on him.
Once Sermon understands our system and has another offseason I think he's going to be pretty damn good. We still probably over-drafted him but I'm not worried long term.

Phi is pretty undersized
so physical runs with Sermon and Mitchel should be pretty effective
