Ya that was one of the worst welcome to the NFL experiences you can have. Poor kid
Hoping for some good news today...

We're bringing in 2 backs for workouts....doesn't bode well for him or Hasty IMO. Sounded like Mitchell was a stinger.

But hopefully he'll be good to go in another week. Given his rookie status I don't think he plays vs GB.

I was just thinking this.
Sermon isn't going to play scared, this isn't Freshman football... dude has been getting his bell rung since 4th grade pee wee football... he did get concussed pretty damn good, he is going to be out for a while, but no way will this make him run scared

They probably keep him out on concussion protocol for an extra week. There was a moment he looked like he was about to get up and put his head back down... IMO thats at least sitting out a game if not more. If this were MMA the athletic commission would likely put him on 6 month probation... but it's the NFL so thats like 2-3 weeks.

iI would sit him against packers regardless as well. Head injuries/concussions are so dangerous and going out early just makes it a lot worse
Hoping he's cleared by Sunday

Same, I thought his one run was legit. Great burst and contact balance. Trash Philly players with dirty hits

Kid was clearly going all out on his first NFL carry but he needs to also protect himself out there. That run could have ended a yard or two shorter without him lowering the crown of his helmet and going into that situation blind. It was a cheap shot but he also allowed it to happen. I think he'll learn from it but it was a rough way to learn the lesson.
Looks like he has a good shot to play against GB, in which case he would start... 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Wasn't criticizing him just pointing out the reality that the kid needs to protect himself...it's part of the game. At this point on I hope he does because we're going to need him healthy.

Dont know how he could of saved himself when the first hit was an elbow to the head/forearm to the back of the collar which thrusted his head down... right to the area the next defender was spearing with the crown of his helmet. Had the first hit not occurred then probably no penalty cause the defender would of chopped out his hip/legs, had the second hit not occurred he probably just somersaults and is down by contact. But both happened and it was the perfect storm for a concussion... then add in going head first into the ground already concussed.
