"If" he plays I will go with 1 carry for 2 yards

You talking about Cannon right?

Sermon

Why? He had a 10 yard burst once he got his chance before the concussion. Is the Pack D that good or is it that he's not Najee?

Well it seems 1 carry is his threshold against nfl talent, Bama on the title game and Philly. Give him a few extra yards: 1 carry for 7 yards

Well a goal of 2 carries should set the bar. I get confused not wanting players on a team you cheerful to succeed. I'm a diehard Michigan fan and was excited when the Niners drafted Sermon.

Well I didn't like him as a player coming into the draft….and absolutely loathed where we took him at. Absolutely nothing personal as I don't know the guy, but nothing about his play excites me.

Your philosophy in a nutshell…

A fan of being right > A fan of the 49ers
That's most of the posters philosophy in here.

In case you haven't noticed, Bama takes the college stuff to an entirely new level.
Re-watching the game now and his first NFL carry started off well, then it finished with a triple whammy of bad fortune: 1) Forearm to the side/back of the neck; 2) Next defender spearing him helmet-to-helmet; 3) Sermon hits the ground head first. Brutal.

I'm a little amazed he's back on the practice field with a shot at playing this Sunday.

Tough kid.
Did those two Eagles get fined? That forearm was bad and nothing to do with tackling?
Sounding like Sermon will be playing. Sounds like he needs to complete the protocol, but Lynch on the radio just now sounds optimistic about his return.

I would sit him at least another week just to be safe.
If he passes protocol let him loose
I know Sermon got hit hard but he seemed to be milking it, as he should have in that scenario. I didn't see him go out but I get the protocol he's in. Just not surprised if/when he gets on the field this week.

I rather not veer into that area of accusing someone of milking it with a head injury. That s**t is serious and life threatening at times. Especially at the NFL level.

Even if he is back on the field, I hope we use him sparingly.

My point was that it didn't look like a catastrophic hit like some of them are. I know head injuries are subjective and vary, that's why I'm not surprised if he's back on the field next weekend.

Dudes can milk hits to the head to draw a penalty. I'm not accusing him of being soft though, y'all can stop clutching your pearls.

Lol, head injuries are so subjective, I'm glad you can guarantee he was dizzy and couldn't get up. I'll hire you to help prove up my next traumatic brain injury claim since you can deliver 100% guarantees.

glad he's on the mend.
