RB Trey Sermon

I actually liked what I saw from him in the second half. Here's hoping he can build on it.
We face an extremely poor run defense coming up. he should have a breakout game
When the Sermon said the team wants him to press and set up his blocks better, this is exactly what they're talking about. Aaron Jones does a masterful job doing just that. He got Fred multiple times this game, which is already an incredibly tough assignment for a stack LB in a wide 9 defense to begin with.

I wish. Hyde didn't dance. He hit every hole hard and fast looking to run someone over and he had just enough speed to get to the outside.

He just couldn't really catch or run routes but he was leagues above any healthy RB we had last week.

Lol. Hyde danced around a lot as well. We all wished he would play like you described on a consistent basis.

"I am the Future".
Hyde just didn't have balance. He ran too high and could never see to break or make that one guy miss. In this league it's expected that your skill player can beat his man.

He had one run. he is not the answer but kyle picked him so he will play and we need to enjoy the 2.5 yd average.. cuz we do what kyle says. and if we do not.. well.. that means we want nolan chip. and jt back
I think Sermon is getting too much hate. I think even Mostert would struggle right now with the way defenses are taking away the outside zone. If you watched Kittle's post game presser he mentioned this. He said the Packers were taking away the double teams by doubling down on the edges and taking away the running lanes. And teams are going to continue to do this with Jimmy at QB. They are saying " we are going to put all the focus on taking away the run and dare Jimmy to beat us" Teams have no respect for Jimmy.

Way too much, I've never seen a rookie judged this hard after 1 game.

Packers were doubling up on force players. On some plays, they would stack a LB or S in the alley on top of the edge player almost like an overhang defender, which made it incredibly difficult for the 49ers to capture the edge.

The Sermon contempt is justified. The dude literally got beat out by a 6th-round pick, and even with a decimated RB roster, Kyle had so little confidence in Trey that he was forced to run the ball with Juice and keep on the field as the only 'back--something we've never seen him do in his career.
