Hasty looks flat awful. I don't get it. Give Sermon some snaps to learn. Shannan trying to provide he is the smartest guy in the room.

Sermon isn't a bust. Like a lot of our rookies he's holding water bottles.

Look, players go busts left and right, but what I can't stand is that the coaching staff (in general) just does not give them enough chances... i also don't believe in that holding water bottle crap... RB is the easiest position in the NFL... I believe if he can't beat out our 6th Rounder, that The Best Mind In The NFL can at least give Sermon 10 carries per game..

I am 1000% with you. We saw a little of Sermon and he looked good to me. We truly don't know what he can do because he is not allowed to play. Wth are we drafting guys we have no intentions of playing?
There's got to be more to the story with why Sermon isn't getting much reps. Maybe he really doesn't have a full grasp of the plays? Doghouse?
Or could it really be the Front offices continued ineptness with drafting & player management?
I kept waiting for him to come in to spell Mitchell. Was excited for a ground n pound game. Nep

Sermon is never the 3rd down back. I don't know what that means but he just isn't. I forgot which game it was where Mitchell and Hasty were injured but they used Juice as the 3rd down back instead of Sermon.

So his pass blocking is trash? Cause I don't remember who tweeted it but they were raving about Trey Sermons receiving ability in OTAs.

Shanny needs to go back to the drawing board pronto. We were carving them up running the football last week and we inexplicably go to the passing game often and get multiple 3 and outs. He should have rotated the RBs with Sermon in the mix to grind out the clock and run them over.

Juice had more carries than sermon that game. Kyle clearly doesn't trust this kid for some reason.

I know losing breeds negative storylines, but one does have to wonder if Shanny wasn't on board with some of the guys we drafted especially this year. Banks and Sermon have had very limited snaps for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. I know they both had some injuries, but they simply aren't getting snaps. Either they aren't the guys we thought they would be or Shanny didn't want them to begin with.

If Kyle isn't playing Sermon Banks because he wasn't on board with drafting them then that's a b***h move. I don't think that's the case though because I feel like any day1/day2 offensive pick is a Kyle pick.
Sermon seems fast enough for me - his 40 was not great, but his 10 yard split along with his vertical and broad jumps are elite. also had a near-elite 3-cone. Sermon is plenty explosive, what he lacks is that final gear of a sprinter. dude absolutely has explosive traits for a RB.

Correct

I'm an Ohio State fan but regardless I think it frustrates people all the same.

If the offense is broken or sputtering and you have weapons you're not using, than use them. Do something, almost anything different.

If the weapons aren't what you envisioned than that's another issue going back to evaluation, or motivation for those players, or a combination thereof.

But it's stuff like this that puzzles people and leads to them saying/thinking Kyle has checked out and isn't even invested in coaching the team.
Shanny must GO !!!

Travesty that this kid isn't getting snaps. WTF is Shanahan's problem. Makes no sense.
