Well whatever it is he doesn't look elite at anything. Mitchell is flat out better in everything

Mitchell just has more touches. Mitchell also has a slew of short gains if you look at the film. And in the few touches we've seen from Sermon, we've seen short gains, and we've seen him break a couple too. Also seems like he would be great receiving threat out of the backfield for us. Sermon is underutilized.

no he is not,, when given his chance. he sucked.. when given his chance.. mitchell took charge. sermon is a bum and so is lynch for taking him

Perspective is off here… sermon has looked totally average, and Mitchell has made him look downright bad by comparison
Looked like he was having fun. Looking forward to more carries.

Yes, Elijah is ELITE. But Sermon handled a really nice pass as clock was winding down at half, excellent hands, over the shoulder catch, and blitzed for 10 yds or so and when defenders came up, he immediately got to sideline for OOB marker . That heads up play from a rook, showed real poise, and football smarts, allowing Gould to come in for the FG right before halftime. There's real talent there, but he isn't Elijah…yet.

Hope we see him with some snaps today and is used as a target also.

Still, if Elijah can't go, don't be surprised to see Deebo at RB.

This would really love for him to run thru this Vikings defense tomorrow

Sermon is a good back, he just needs to hit the hole and quit dancing around.

he can't do all that by holding on the football in the sideline..
Any word on him? Looked like a significant injury

They replayed his injury and it appeared to be ankle sprain. He sprained it pretty good, too.

That's what I saw too. Dreaded high ankle.

We need to add two or more RBs every year through the draft/UFDA process. All these guys are injury prone.
Hope it is just couple week ankle sprain, fingers crossed
This guy is gonna set a record for minimum plays per injury. He's getting hurt after every 2 or 3 lackluster carries. Complete waste of a 3rd round pick

Ya.....like I have said previously, a rookie RB which typically contributes early, should be providing more productive especially in a run oriented offense. I was ok with the decision to draft him but he needs to be exceptional since we seem to be able to find RB late in the draft and elsewhere. Hindcsight is 20/20 but I wish we would have taken a CB.
