Poor guy. Looked like a broken ankle.

I was ok with the decision to draft him but he needs to be exceptional since we seem to be able to find RB late in the draft and elsewhere. Hindcsight is 20/20 but I wish we would have taken a CB.

If we don't compare him to Mitchell, he is having a decent rookie season in terms of efficiency, as a rusher he is doing better than Wilson - all the while adjusting to a scheme/style that is foreign to him. He's a solid back who can become v. Good once he adjusts his running style a bit. Should we have taken an RB that high? No. But he'll be a good back for us

Yeah, he was rounding into shape. I hope MRIs show nothing but negative. 🙏

Hes the perfect back to run up the middle, vs mostert and Mitchell who have the speed to run outside. I am suspecting he was going to be used as another offensive weapon like Juszczyk. As a FB blocking for Deebo, as a TE running routs and catching passes. As a HB in the 4th QTr, to put games away. I hope its not a broken ankle, but even high ankle sprains take almost as much time to heal too.

All RBs get injured a lot. That's why they usually have very short careers. If they are used a lot they take a terrible beating every week. Unlike QBs and even WRs they can actually get hit.

That's what makes Frank Gore such an amazing player. He ran hard right into the teeth of the defense and managed to stay in the league all those years with few injuries.

I don't think Sermon is good but I can't put that label on the guy. he's actually shown up for a real live game and gave the team some effort. that ankle looked bad

yes,,, he is not in hurds category.. i guess that means wilson needs to step up and hasty. whatever we get from deebo is gravy if he plays.

Perfect back to run up the middle? He's been hurt 4 times in his last 42 carries, dating back to last years national title game. He can't get the edge either so they drafted an up the middle runner made of fine china.
If one of our Trey's HAS to be a bust I'd rather it be this one.

Disagree. Pettis actually played in some games.

Hurd is on the lowest possible level of BUST.

Hurd was Gio Carmazzi 2.0. Neither played a down.
Special teams didn't give up that kickoff return until he went out of the game, let that sink in.
