This x 1000

A great CB in FA or through a trade is our #1 priority by far. We better not screw this up, even if Thomas looks great and Moseley looks good. One of both could get injured and miss some time yet again. Like every year.

Let's not forget we have to go against great qbs and even greater wrs

we arent drafting anyone as good as Verrett you would need a top 15 pick for that to be a possibility sp a trade would be the way to do that and we dont have the capital for that

I think we should resign all our CBs

Verrett Moseley Thomas on boundary then Williams and Lenoir in slot is very good

Then i think you get a veteran CB in FA like a kevin king or joe haden
So given Ambry's meteoric rise and Mosely being really solid, have we gone from CB being a glaring weakness to being an area of strength? If they keep playing like this and we get K'Waun back next week, I'm looking at this defense and I don't really see a weak spot on it anymore.

no glaring weaknesses but out secondary will give up yards it isnt lockdown and they have maybe the best duo at WR (but definitely not the best WR we have faced) and one of the better QBs in the NFL with one of the best pass blocking OL

Imagine looking at this and saying AT is "beat" in any way shape or form

He had that the whole way.

Just shows that some dont know what they are looking at (much like how people were crapping on him from the start, but thats a different topic). Ambry had him the entire time.

Yea, I can't believe people thought Ambry was beat when all they had to go off of was the TV angle.

If that ball is out in front, our season is done. Look at Thomas bite at the 50 yard line and stutter step on OBJ's little fake move inside then take off over the top.

Thomas needs to get on OBJ's body and force OBJ to the sideline more and not give him all that green. No way Thomas catches up to OBJ if Stafford threw it deeper. He got lucky Bosa forced a poor throw.

Thomas runs a 4.3 he's just as fast as OBJ.

If out in front Thomas would have been there to make a play on the ball - OBJ may or may not have caught it but he wasn't going to the house.

Lol the person who said Thomas was beat is so wrong. He ran step with step with OBJ until he looked up tracked the ball and slowed down because the ball was under thrown. The big part is that he located the ball and if he didn't he would've kept running bumping into OBJ when he has to come back to the under thrown ball. Well played by Thomas, dude always seems to be in position but he finally tracked the ball. Massive improvement weekly

He always tracks the ball. Almost caught that one against Pitts too. But big guys take it away from him.

Yup if the cowboys are smart (they're not) they will line up Dalton Schultz across from him the way the Falcons and Rams did with their bigger stronger pass catchers.

I'm watching a guy who got lucky Stafford underthrew that pass. OBJ was going to score if that was on target. He bit on the fake at the 50 and OBJ had a step. Its not much but in the NFL that's open.

That was a td if Stafford gets that out there 50 with some air. Ambry had good position but he was beat at the interception point. It was over if the ball was laid out far enough. OBJ made no effort to come back to it. Great play by Ambry though.

Wrong

OBJ was just a warmup for Cooper and Co. He's gonna have to step-up yet again. These WR's in the playoffs aren't going to get any easier.

THANK YOU.. I mean, it's really easy to slow it down, look at the timing and see that Thomas played it exactly as it should have been.

For sure, Dak and Ceedee will still get theirs. But I definitely feel much better about our secondary now than I did say 5 weeks ago.

hmm actually i think this is a good exercise
1)Adams
2)Kupp
3)Evans
4)Cooper
5) Lamb
6) OBJ
7) Devonta Smith
8) AJ Green
9) MVS
10)Kirk

in terms of a 1-2 combo i think this is the best WR corpse are facing by a good margin

Don't sleep on Cedric Wilson either he has been quietly killing it. 40 rec, 600 yrds, 6 TD's
Just to compare Aiyuk put up 50 rec, 800, 5 TD's this year

all depends on where Lamb lines up (probably flanker)...Cooper is their split end and once Gallup went down...Thomas isn't gonna play in the slot and that's where Wilson plays

Have to bring the pressure to force quicker throws and not let the long plays develop.

Jimmy G has more air yards/attempt than Dak

they dont really air it out deep

While I agree I am thinking they are going to try it for this game plan.
